i was having lots of problems beating the AI at normal when I realized I hadnt used all of the tools provided in the econmy screen. sure i was taxing people and adjusting the allocation to miltiary/social/research but for some reason i completely missed the Spending slider which GREATLY affected my research and building capabilties the first 2 or 3 games I had at normal difficullty. basically i was running at 50% spending the entire time and fell WAY behind in research and was wondering how th
