The vocalists name is Toni Burdey. She and I worked together organizing the Latin lyrics in the intro movie and beginning solo music piece. Toni also sang on the intro movie choir and helped direct the choir as well! GalCiv2 Composer Are you guys quoted in the credits? I went through them orig
Darth Yoder
Just wondering who sings the music at the start of CG2??? I didn't see any musical mentions in the credits.
BUT I HAVE TO KNOW THOSE RULES! I do not see any fun just randomly try this or that thing. No, I want to be able to develop an intelligent strategy even before the game starts. I agree that the rules could be far more detailed. On the other hand, I see no reason to use such terse language when asking for it. Stardock has gone to considerable
Wow. Amazing work. I'm usually torn between spending what time I have available to play the game or design ships.
This thread has caused me to wonder... do the computer players only get the abilities listed under the default or do they "spend" their bonus points too?
I love minor races. I trade them all my military, logistic, engine techs. They wont ever use em against me..so it works out well . But won't they just turn around and trade those same techs to other major powers? That's usually how I build up my tech base and outstrip the computer opponents. Wait long enough and the minor powers generally ge
Just wondering what people thought about the AI at "Normal". I've only played as the Terrans so far, but I've been a real bastard to other major and minor races. So far, no one has stepped up to challenge me and I have yet to be attacked by another player. The main competition - the Drengin - seem to love me the more powerful I get and the more minor civilizations I conquer. I also haven't finished a game yet, so maybe they'll get wise and come after me later on. I'm s
Be aware that if you make the 3000M troop transports as suggested by Mascrinthus (they work really well, I do it) that you need a good sized planet to build more than one. Otherwise a 5B pop planet is empty after 2 ships, and the 2nd ship won't even be full O.o Talk about "total effort" on the homefront. Imagine if a ship showed up tomorrow
Hi there. I've been wondering how to invade with more than a single transport. Grouping the transports together and clicking on the planet still seems to result in only a single ship disgourging its troops. It seems to me that there must be a way to not feed in forces piecemeal, but I haven't found it yet. Thanks in advance. This game is fantastic.
Hm...does anyone know anything about the status of Gamestop? I preordered from them but have heard nothing from them. There's still nothing on Gamestop's website to indicate whether they've received GC2 or not. Stardock hopes the game will be on retail shelves by Friday, but so far I've seen nothing to suggest this will be true of on-line ret
In case you're looking for Galactic Civ. in the DC area, I've called around to every chain that's listed on the release announcement and no one has any copies yet (Best Buy couldn't even find it in their system). If by chance a fellow Washintonian turns up a store I missed, would you please post here so we can all descend like locusts? The Walmart rep I spoke with has been called by folks all morning. Definitely a good sign for Stardock's bottom line. <img src="http
I found my way to Galactic Civilizations II while rummaging around on the Strategy First website and I've been REALLY impressed. I was a huge fan of MOO2 (like most everyone else) and was really disappointed by how bad MOO3 turned out, after counting down the days to release (like most everyone else). Having read the forums for the last few months, I have little reason to think Gal Civ II will disappoint. My one regret is that I didn't hear about the original Gal Civ unt
I agree that fleet commanders could introduce an interesting element to Gal Civ 2. And without getting bogged down into a tactical game. Part of the fun in books like the Honor Harrington and The Stars at War series (both David Weber products) is that they focus on the big picture from the admiral's chair. I'd love to send fleets into action with the Drengin equivalent of James T. Kirk aboard the flagship.
"bah galactic council seams like the real UN in GalCiv1 it was nearly a joke" If by joke you mean maintaining over a dozen peacekeeping/monitoring missions throughout the world, in addition to running programs from nuclear arms inspection to monitoring elections in nacscent democracies, then yes... the UN is a joke. I'd say for an organization whose annual peacekeeping budget is less than the NYC police department's, they do okay. I didn't see much detail on t
Hi guys, I have three questions regarding documentation: Will there be a comprehensive manual, comparable to titles like Civ 4? Can you guys make the manual available in .pdf format so we can read up on the game prior to release? Do you have any plans to publish a strategy guide? Like everyone else, I'm quaking with anticipation to get my hands on a copy of Galactic Civilizations II. Thanks! <img src="http://images3.s
