yea this happenes to me they just dont spread past their first colony ship. until about 2 or 3 years in the game by which time you are so dominante that all you have to do is offer a tech and alliance to everyone and get alliance victory. and i play on normal. i remember when i was still playing the original with 1.1 patch even on cakewalk (yes i know, but before i do anything i have to try it out first.) the comp would at least spread and then start spamming 1 hit kills.

well im playing a new game(havent played since 1.1 was released) and i noticed that on the simple or beginner the other civs just dont expand. before when i was playing on simple or beginner i always had a decent race with the races to get the good planets and a keep up a military. With 1.1 and 1.2 im running on normal and they still dont start to really spread outside thier starting location until 3 or 4 years into the game and by that time ive already gotten a good 1/3 or 1/4 of the gal. I alw

To make things fun, you should try to conquer them. Make an attack plan to hit their most important planets, and the rest should fall eventually. agreed, even if you can only hold onto the planets for a few turns you might be able to drop their moral and their income so much they would be able to pick up the peices very easily. <br

anyone know of a time line for the game because i know im going to get it the moment it comes out, does anyone know at what stage they are at, anything would really help. I looked at the site and it hasnt been updated since march or april. and to me either they started with the moddleing of teh buildings or they are at the stage where they are working out the ai and getting it ready for shipping but i know its still a way of.

hey i just had a bit of an idea. how bout overtime. so even though all your fact and res are at full capacity, if you want you should be able to get more out of them. so lets say they are at 100% capacity, to increace it to 105% you would have to double that amount for the 5%, and for the 10% increace you would need a 4 time increase in pay. I know if i was paid double or triple my wage i would gladly work 16 hour days, with washroom and lunch breaks for a while. Just a thought

well i stopped playing for a while since im getting myself a great gaming laptop, so need to sobber myself up, anyways back to the topic i know the evil races tend to have really good bonuses but i never see any good moral boost which i know for a fact would come in handy later in the game. something like; your militiary general came up with a great idea to bolster the peoples ambitions/support of war, by distroying one of the smaller colonies near the center of your region, and blami

yea i had that happen to me except it was a class26 which had it increase by 25% from trait to 32 and then anouther 24% to a 41%. After all my improvments it became a 51 or 57 cant remember but it was my manufacturing and research capitols by far the best planet in the game. then later in this map i was able to find anouther planet which ended up being a 47 after improvements. to bad i didnt look at the alliances the comp made and ended going to war wi

To me this doesnt make any sence. If a base is within range how would it not be able to help your own ships its like", OH theres jonny and hes about to be blown to bits, lets send him som point-defence drones, oh no we cant i scanned his ship and he doesnt have any PD so how can we possibly help him .........." or even better "theres jonny and hes about to

SC3 had bad design. From the 3D starmap to the uninspired (and crap) Crux ships to the 'wow the Ur-Quan went evil again, never saw that coming' to generally farting all over the story from SC2 - even getting the research wrong in places. thats what made it fun for me i loved how the 3d star map worked since it was more realistic, of course the

i have no idea how everyone does this i keep trying and i can never get anouther civ to trade all their tech or if they have the most advanced form of lasers they wont trade it even if i offer all my tech, money, influence, and planets(ships come free) they dont give it to me what is the deal with that.

i realy think your looking at this the wrong way. you should be looking at what is already done. 1. fleets = in a real sence are a carrier without the carrier so just build something that can carry 12 logistics worth of ships. with miniturization you would think you can carry more ships but instead of that you have less ships carring more weapons or give some kind of bonus due to them flying of the carrier. 2. plaets= are stationary carriers just give them 0 pop, some movement points(

this reminds me of another similiar issue through the UP that involves a planet, yet in the UP description theres no planet name. when i got the planet it had .5 bil pop and it was one of the 0pq planets beforehand. And after i exited the UP i had to go manualy to the planet to ad improvments so some people might just forget it because it

Hahahaha! I made a huge mistake like that in my 3rd campain... I think it was my third... I had cargo ships with weapons and armor on it, and they wheer dieing in one hit, and I'm like, WTF, THIS IS GAY! then I realized my mistake after going through about 30 ships... yea i did the same which really sucked cause i was being attacked and lost a

the only time i have moral lower then 50% is when i have a planet that i have purposly have put 4 farms on and i dont have the room for entertainment or stock exchanges with means my moral will stay low. and i leave it be just to tax the bastards.

i know all of you whom have played SC2 will hate me for this but i found that SC3 was (at least for me) way better and had a better story line, maybe its me, maybe i should go to an instetution, maybe im gay(im not), but i know that after playing SC2 for about 3 hours i was beyond bored and gave up and now am waiting for SC timewrap(maybe itll be more enjoyable) and ill continue the endless search for a dl of SC3 <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a

I had an event where a planet was PQ 0 and then after " volcanoes and storms" it became a PQ 8 a decent planet, the only problem was that the United Nations? had to vote on who gets it, the plus side of that was that i had close realations with everyone, and i had 45% of the vote which meant i got the planet. sadly no bonus squares.

well two things happen when loading a game 1. most if not all my planets loose a class level, im not sure if this affects the tile count because i dont remember but i know when i went to sleep at 3am and awoke at 1pm my highest class was a 24 with full upgrades, while i left i had one 25 2. the planet maps changes, not big but its a bit annoying looking at your planet and having all your buildings floating on water. either way its still better then any other game (not inclu
