DA: Cannot start DA campaign, loads and then becomes unresponsive in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I just reinstalled GalCiv2 and bought the DA expansion, however I am having a tough time actually playing the campaign, in fact it won't load. The relevant portions( I believe anyway) are listed below, feel free to ask if you need more. I've reinstalled DL two times now to see if I could fix the install but so far no success. Any idea why this is happening? I have the most up to date versions for both DL and DA (or stardock keeps telling me so, 1.5 and 1.6 respectively). Any help would be a

Ship queue issues on mission 4? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Basically I've gotten to primus 1 (i think the name of it in mission 4... its the class 12 planet), and I colonized it and started to build a defense ship against the dread lords troop ships. But I have the ship finished in the queue ( i.e. 0 weeks to complete), yet it will not complete until my planet is taken ( 2 weeks after, which of course is useless to me ). So I tried changing the ship, to a different attack ship, yet I am not allowed to buy it
