I've experienced a bug where for about thirty turns, the Torians had litterally infinite influence. I had crazy influence ratios like 254:1. 1 being me. Luckily, nobody rebelled to the torians. After I declared war on them, their 100% influence standing went back to its usual 5%. WTF?

Time and space warping to make things "dissapear" and the awful inferiority of such time and space warpings. Lovely. Translated: I've noticed this, too. "WTF"?

I don't think i've ever lost a GCII game yet. I owned a 5-player game with every AI on bright. This was my first try with that difficulty. However, I did not even try very hard! All I did was pump up the diplomacy and cheat- I mean, "buy" crap off the other races, while upping my military significantly. I will now try a 5-player game with the AI set at tough (every AI on intelligent). Hopefully, I will lose.

The newest beta has helped a little. Now I'm in the double didgets... barely. Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to buy more memory (I'm totally broke because of NO income (I am 13)). If I wanted to upgrade my 4/5 year old hard drive to something faster, I would have to upgrade my entire motherboard into a PCI-Express motherboard with ATA HD support. That would call for an entirely new Processor, Video Card, and RAM Sticks.

The game usually runs fine at the start of the game, but as I get more and more planets and ships, the game gradually gets choppier and choppier. When I reached 15 planets and around 50 ships, the framerate was constantly in the single digets (spelling?). Changing the verious game and graphical settings, saving and reloading, saving then relaunching the game and reloading, reinstalling, using different versions, and updating all of my drivers all did

I got it too after i updated from a clean reinstall... I think the update is bugged.

Reminds me of one of those "Power" scenarios where you play as the Drengin. At the measly begginer diffuculty, the dreadlords owned everyone except for me with no problem while I cramped my entire remaining fleet of two fighters next to my last planet. I've seen it all. Smart, respectable people posting on forums is totally new to me. I applaud your respectibility.

Using my custom civilization, I found a class 19 planet. After the soil-worm random event and the neutral path bonuses, it became a class 29 planet. For some reason, the game lists it as a class 40 planet. What the hell? Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?

Using my new custom race, I strolled around the galaxy, looking for planets to colonize. I had four planets already: My class 10 homeworld, the class 4 in-system planet, a class 11 planet, and a class 9 planet with a tile that has +700% to manufacturing (I had 124 social points on there early game as I made it my manufacturing capital). I was about to send my colony ship to a nearby class 5 planet, but my survey vessel spotted something. A class 19

Would the following rig work the game smoothly at 4x aa and 1280x960? (self-built) -AMD Athlon 2400+ (~2.0 ghz) (equivilant of 2.4 ghz on an intel pentium 4 processor) -Sapphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis -1024mb physical memory Dang. Some of you guys are strapped for cash! (as am I, but I saved up for a long time for mine) I would have an X600 XT now if it wasn't faulty. Darn.

I am really looking forward to this game. This liking has brought me to the point where I will preorder it. Before doing so, I have a question. On the galciv1 site, there are two options for purchase: "Pre-Order for Electronic Download" and "Pre-Order for Electronic Download and receive final on CD". I am not sure on what the latter means. Does it mean I will download the game on Feb 21 and then get a CD, or does it mean something else?
