Running out to try right now! P.s. I tried deleting the anchors from the xml file... it now just puts many of whatever is next in the list, which happens to be bubbles.

Hi Mr. Yarlen, I have responded to another thread, and also responded to my own support ticket, but for everyone else's curiousness here are some of my specs: NOT running Norton XP home SP2 1.5 gigs of RAM ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card 1280x768 resolution. Things in the tray: Avast Antivirus (free), Microsoft Antispy, Extensis Suitcase (font searcher), Google Desktop search, ObjectDock (free), Adobe Version Cue
sorry for double post! But while I am here - I tried disabling MS antispyware... didn't help.
I don't run Norton, but I am using AVAST! antivirus (the free version). Here is a screen shot of my aquarium, complete with anchors and 100% CPU usage, for the curios: Link
You want to see mine?!? I uninstalled my desktop aquarium after splurging on the extra fish pack, too... the thing runs at 100% CPU and everytime I restart, the background is back to default, I get a welcome screen evertime, I get more and more anchors, and they are NOT removeable. I am running regular Win XP home - SP2. What is your system? does the aquarium save your setting
what do I do with all these #$%^& anchors! it runs at 100% CPU too. see my screenshot before I uninstall... Link
That sux, Adrian.. I wish I had seen this before I splurged on the $15 (I got the fishpack too). I keep getting more and more anchors everytime I restart... they can't be taken off. Also my wallpaper keeps going back to the default. So, I feel your pain.
LOL! I keep getting more and more stupid anchors, and they are NOT removeable! I wish I was able to try before I bought. I don't think I will ever buy software that doesn't have a trial version.
GRRRR!!! No, it does not! I just bought it. I am using regular ol' Windows XP Home edition, SP2. everytime I start there is that "Welcome' screen, and the default background & fish. I even splurged for the extra fishpack... there is no way I am going to spend 10 minutes every day setting up my stupid wallpaper. I sent a support ticket, maybe they can help me, or maybe offer me free upgrades if they can't.
FYI - I answered my own question #2 about installing it twice. Since there is no search fuction on this forum, go here Link to read about installing windowblinds on more than 1 PC. still looking for an answer on the "doesn't remember your settings" question though!
Edited to delete double post (sorry)
Hi there, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure those icons are compiled deep within the program, and not changeable. You can always use ObjectDock or something else though, and get rid of you tray altogether.
Hi there! I'm happy to say that WindowBlinds, Object Desktop AND Desktop Aquarium all ran happily on my X64 OS.
Wow... I've been aesthetically overwhelmed. I need to figure out how Himerus77 got those little icons to fly over the dock icons, and also I can't seem to get a minimized browser menu to appear in the dock. If I hide the desktop, I hve to click on the weather link to re-open my minimized browser window.
Hi everyone, I am interested in buying Desktop Aquarium but I heard there were a couple bugs in it. Someone told me that every time he starts the computer the aquarium starts in its default setting. It doesn't remember that he changed the background, how many fish he added, etc. And some splash screen always comes on every startup and he has to close it, too. If it doesn't remember your settings, I don't want to spend the money. One mo
wow guys - thanks for the icons. I want to make a bunch for my own favorite programs - I will be sure to share with the group when I do!
Thanks for all the info, I am happy to know this as well!
