I spent tons of time to create custom ships for my custom race... Now after dling the patch, those are all messed up... That *really* annoys me. Anything I can do about that (the ships rather than my annoyance... well, maybe both)

Just researched that (Technology Victory tech). Nothing happened, even though under victory conditions the reasearch victory (which was enabled for the game) was at 100%. Anybody know why?

Need help here. I just lost a game because of that. I kept upgrading my designs but my colonies kept building the old ships all the time. Every time I changed that, after building a ship, the planet changed back to the old design. Thus I had a bunch of Stinger III ships in late game. My top design was already with anti-matter. Hello: After having played my first game just now, there are a couple of things that are unclear to me and for which I did not find any information in the manual. So I would be glad if someone could help me out: 1. On a planet where I built a farming improvement, the food production still was only 5mt/week. Just wondering, how does the combat work? I have flipped through the manual and the information on this site but did not find exactly what I was looking for. So if you have two battlefleets clash, are the ships just sitting there or are they moving around. I guess my question is is the combat more like MoO2 or MoO3 for all who know those two titles - and who have not already luckily forgotten or banished MoO3 from their thoughts...

Just a quick question, although I am from Germany I prefer to play with the English version of the game as the original tends to have far less problems with line overruns and faulty translation (don't say that will be so for GalCiv2, just a general experience). At amazon.de and in other stores online I am only able to preorder the German version of the game. Is that intentional. Will there be no English version on sale on the German market? Or is the German game version multi-li

Just flipping through the manual I read through one example of fleet combat where some fighters took on a dreadnaught. As I have found no hull size description I could be wrong but my guess is that a dradnaught is a huge ship. Now, in this example, the dreadnaught had 40 hits and each of the fighters (4) 12 hits. Thus, 4 fighters can take out a capital ship???? Or at least insanely damage it???? I am amazed! Sure, I do not know the production cost of those

I have been following GalCiv 2 for quite a while but it *never* even occured to me that a game nowadays, especially a TBSG turn based strategy game would not have a MP option.
