I'd like to propose adding more, or even some "obstacles" on the starmap, such as an asteroid field that blocks, or slows down ship movements through it. The AI already has to cope with obstacles on the map, such as suns and planets, so it should be able to cope with some "walls" like asteroid fields. I don't want the map to be cluttered by such, but imagine a system inside such an asteroid belt, only accessible if you move through the belt

Atm there is no choice really what engine to take. Of course I can decide to research better engines, but then when I design a new ship I will basically always take the best engine, so no real choice there. It would be cool to have an engine tech, or a version of each engine, that moves a random number of tiles each turn. It's average would be the same as the engine it is based on (e.g. 5) but the ship would actually move a number between 1
1) I love the good/evil events. My, I think easily implementable, idea is to have such events when you conquer the last planet of another race and thus eradicated it. I would love if then sometimes a screen comes up "You have captured their leader (insertname) on planet (insertname of planet). What do you want to do with him?" Then you would have the option -to pardon him (-Morale on the planet you conquered, because people could still
The only other game I have preordered in my life was Master of Orion 3 ... and I was so disappointed I vowed never to preorder a game again ... well now I have done it and am really excited what the beta will feel like ... and who knows, maybe I may even get some small feature in!
