i used a desktop x file and now im not using it any more, and the taskbar has dissapeared!!! W T F do i do??? btw, im a complete n00b

i know you may make fun of me but, i dont know how to change the darn theme. i mean i've downloaded some themes, but none are a ".theme file". it says i need that in order to change the theme. i know i look like a n00b but its annoying not being able to figure it out. what do i do????
