I am sure if Stardock implemented an interactive tutorial (similar to Dawn of War's Tutorial), more people would become die hard addicts. I play GalCiv2 a lot and even still, I occaisionally have trouble and get frustrated. I have serious ADD issues and often have trouble keeping everything straight turn to turn. Quite often I will read online written tutorials. When reading them - it's all so clear. Yet once I am entrenched in the game, whatever I head read easily becomes a ju

[quote]Unfortunately, this is generally not possible. After a certain point it becomes easier to design the new game rather than try to mold the current one into something similar. Take, for instance, the out-of-memory errors that still annoys people. The portion of the game engine responsible would basically need to be rebuild from the ground up to fix it. (See CariElf post #33 hereWWW Link). Keep in mind, also, that an expansion pack must also be economically viable. At some point, a
Screw Galactic Civ III... Keep adding expansions and just evolve the game into better states of itself. As time goes on update key components of the game (graphics, animations, interface, sound, game engine, etc.), add new races, new game play elements, new storylines. The thing I don't like about full sequels sometimes is you get used to all the wonderful stuff that the original game had or stuff expansions have introduced and then a sequel comes out and a lot of that is stripped from

I have actually grown rather fond of the name Terror Star... I used one for the first time last night... As a test I destroyed my home system. (I saved my game of course). Too bad I exterminated the Yor long ago (It's actually the first game I ever did defeat them and it was SOOOO satifying)... I would have loved to have used it on them. The Yor are alwats such a pain in the a**. But the Korath keep waging war on me... I can't wait to go home and blow up their sun. :)
I had posted this in the beta reports forum... Before seeing this thread. So I will post it here too... It has been getting a positive response by people who seem to agree with me. I truly feel this addition will increase ease and flow of play by 9000%. Here is the post: "I have a suggestion for zooming in and out with the mouse wheel in the tech tree... Basically I am a digital artist. I use many programs. Photoshop Illustrator, Corel Draw, etc... For many ye
I would pay $$$ for a substantial Multimedia game pack... I know we all want the game mechanics and actual play constantly improved... But what about a major pack that is solely devoted to multimedia components of the game. This pack could essentially include: - New high resolution movies and/or real-time movies for each race. Like when you colonize your first planet, or survey your first piece of space junk; you would actually see your own race's ship soar down into t
I have a suggestion for zooming in and out with the mouse wheel in the tech tree... Basically I am a digital artist. I use many programs. Photoshop Illustrator, Corel Draw, etc... For many years I have also used a program called Paint Shop Pro. I tend to use version 7.0 for a 'light' program that doesn't take up a lot of system resources to run. Well... (this DOES all apply to a point I am getting to)... In Paint Shop Pro version 7 (and latter versions too I believe), there is
