The problem was resolved after I reinstalled Windows. Not sure what caused the original issue...

Yeah, it's up to date. .. v 1.0.042. I didn't have a choice to DL it.. it came on it's own.

No audio (fixed) in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I initially purchased the game (with beta) online, and downloaded the beta through Stardock. The game had no audio, but I assumed this had something to do with it being a beta program. Now that I've received my full key, and updated the program, I STILL do not have any audio. I've checked the settings in the main menu, and found all audio settings to be turned on. Any suggestions? I'm using an AMD 3800+ X2 CPU,
