Reaver is right about the Civ4 and its expansion. Here in Canada, a store is selling both the game and the expansion pack at $29.99 each. Normal life-cycle of a product stuff.

I think his problem was actually giving his info to the stardock account as well as the CD-Key. I don't know. Personally, you can put almost anything into the info for Stardocks account and they'll never really know. But I guess some people get a little paranoid about their personal information. In a day and age where your own government attempts to spy on its citizens in the name of finding people who might do harm to you or it, I don't blame him. But then, this does seem a little extreme
My annoyance posts are the people who always seem to claim the AI is cheating. I am not sure what else the developers can do to prove it isn't, besides posting the entire code, lol. Which probably won't help since 90% wouldn't know how to read it anyway.
Why do folks even respond to this? Just let the post go into obscurity and disappear. Not that I am helping, but it irks me when a thousand people respond to one person who is obviously not really playing the game or giving any constructive criticism. Just makes them sit back and laugh at you, while you get more frustrated at another idiot posting an inflammatory post.
Looks like your ATI drivers are out of date (from August 2005). Try updating those first.
I wonder what type of Motherboard Reapy has. His system sounds just about identical to mine. An ATI 9800 Pro, check. 1 gig of RAM, check. AMD64 3200 proc, check. My game is as stable as I can ask it to be (ie, I can play all evening long, and not get a crash). In fact, I updated my video drivers before installing the game (i tend to make that common practice anyway, but a lot of people do not), and have the game on my main machine and on my toshiba laptop, and no problems of crashing have
Been playing my games on Normal (well, 2 games on Normal so far) and I have been out-teching the AI most of the game, save for a few weeks here and there. Usually I find I fall behind researching something that takes a while to discover, and when I find it, my tech goes up again and surpasses the AI as I research the less costly ones of interest to me. And I am a stingy bastard. I won't trade unless necessary to the major races unless its an old tech. I will trade with the minor on
I'm not sure how Stardock is able to rectify this for DAnderson. I see his point, but then I see the unreasonable demand from him that they have to fix this right away and that if it wasn't done yesterday then its too late for him and he now hates the company. Living in Canada, I always have to account for a day or two more then the stated release date of a game. Its like that for every game for us. It has to cross a border, get through customs, etc etc, in order for it to get to t
Click on the Forums button on the left side of the screen. You'll see all the sticky threads there. Make sure your running at 32bit resolution. Also, why not post your debug.err into a thread and maybe someone can tell from that what your problem is
Just trying to download the game onto my laptop while I wait for the release. Base game installed no problem, however the multimedia and the tutorials give me a validation failure. Any ideas? EDIT: Nevermind...seems your updating stuff....
