Wait, this can't be normal. The taskbar blur isn't working, but the feature appears in the config. I'm also experiencing, in some skins, menus passing under windowframes, but over window contents.

I just found out something interesting... I resized my XP taskbar to a ridiculous size... and found out that it had the wallpaper behind it, but any windows behind the taskbar couldn't be seen. Like it just went straight through to the wallpaper. I then went back to normal size, but I still couldn't see any windows behind it. Is this normal behavior?

No effect, vStyler. See that explorer window, Kilokrash? It's behind the taskbar. I put it there to demonstrate that effect, because I am indeed using a black wallpaper. I normally have the taskbar on autohide, so when it pops up in front of Firefox with that awful effect... Blegh.

My video driver is completely up to date. Locked, unlocked, hidden, not hidden; it makes no difference. Here's what it looks like: [img]http://eternaleon.googlepages.com/ohnoes.PNG[/img] Also, now that I think about it, I have a similar problem in Vista... It occasionally starts up with a grey area instead, and the windows in ugly UIS2 mode. Unloading and reloading WindowBlinds fixes it there, but no luck in XP.

Well, I got a really cool dual boot setup with Vista and XP going, where the two OSs are invisible to each other, and their partitions are both C: drives. So I got the drivers all set up on the XP partition, and installed WB6, then Sexy XP. I'm having this weird problem where the taskbar has nothing but black behind it, and I mean the entire taskbar area. Sleeping doesn't make a difference to my battery. Hibernation just takes longer to start up, and as such is a waste of my disk space. I would try to replicate it myself, but I disabled hibernation. Sorry I misunderstood your problem.

You might need to force blurring by clicking the top radio button, "Always blur even if blahblahblah". And if I remember correctly... I don't think XP can blur menus. Also, here's some screenshots of the hack-around blurring in action. I've already seen the thread, and Sexy is worth the whole $5 that I spent. Yeah, I'm on Vista. I know about all the crap with blurring, yes. But hey, do Colour=0,0,0 and Alpha=0. It's more easily standable... And I'm actually using the blur with it right now. It just doesn't work as well as the other elements.

Also, setting Colour=0,0,0 under the DWMSettings also makes the blur more like what's on the other elements. I pretty much just now found that out, and it makes the blurred shadows more stand-able.

Hi there. I've been dealing with lack of blurring for a while, but blurring is something that WindowBlinds 6 promised. I want it working. The [DWMSettings] Alpha=0 trick seemed to work, but I'm not using Vienna2 anymore. I'm using Sexy, and it has shadows. The blur seems to extend to go underneath the shadows, not just under the window frame. Is there any way to adjust the blur area yet? Luckily, most torrent sites will co-operate with copyright holders to get torrents off the site that violate their copyright. At least they say they do. I don't know if they really do or not.

Not blurring it works, but no matter what I do, editing vienna2.uis is ineffective. Are the skins located anywhere other than C:\Users\Public\blahblahblah?

I tried to add it myself, but didn't get any change when I unloaded and loaded WindowBlinds, so I just switched off the blur for now. Maybe when I restart my computer.
