Too bad the Wallpaper feature doesn't know enough to search subfolders. I have a directory "Wallpapers" with many subfolders for different categories "Renders" "Landscapes" "Winter" "Summer" "Places"

I agree with kith and Jachyra. I think the least you could've done is sent those of us who are WC subscribers an email letting us know what was going on. I couldn't get to this site for the past 5 days/week (whatever it is), not even to the front page. The only reason I knew what was going on is because I went and looked around the Neowin forums for information. At the very least, I feel like my subscription ought to

It can't be an interaction with nview behind this issue since I don't use nview and liquidguru isn't even using an Nvidia gfx card, let alone nview. It's not a huge problem if you are using your taskbar on the bottom of your screen, but if your taskbar is at the top, then, as liquidguru shows in the screenshots, you lose the entire menu bar (major issue for me).

Ok, I'm running WindowsXP, no WindowsFX (b/c I have problems with it and alpha-blended skins, so I'm just not using it currently). I don't use Nview. Other programs running: Avedesk Objectdock Rainlendar SpringFolders (Stardock) Trillian Adobe Acrobat Loader Symantec Corporate Edition iTunes' Ipod Service This issue can also be affected (but not really fixed) by adjusting the Screen C

I don't consider just using caps to emphasize the fact that it's not fixed by a particular method as harsh. Please, don't take things as a personal insult just because they happen to pertain to a comment you made. However, sorry about the name mixup; I assumed that since I know there is an artist named DigitalJames that it was the same username. Actually, I think the people who have been posting here for eons are often the worst at (not) b

I'm up to date with both WB5 and Skinstudio as well. I don't believe that it's a taskbar at bottom vs top thing (one reason is because I use a lot of OS X-style skins that were all designed for taskbar at top) and I never had this problem until I upgraded to WB5. Just minimizing, restoring, maximizing only works for me if I try it like 5-6 times. In Skinstudio, try selecting Windows, and in the Preview window, change from "Acti

Ah HAH! I just figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't fix it, because I think this is something Stardock has to take care of, but here's the deal. Now that there is WB5 around, Skinstudio (and presumably WB5) appear to assume that skins have per-pixel window borders. I poked around in Skinstudio and realized that every single WB4 (or WB5 not using pp-transparency) skin has now gained a section in the skin called "Window Borders-PerPixel"<br/

Now that I am running WB5, any old themes that were designed for WB4 don't maximize properly. I use a top taskbar and when I maximize the windows, the entire titlebar disappears underneath the taskbar (and if I hide the taskbar, the titlebar disappears "above" the edge of my screen!) Trust me, I know what I'm doing with my computer and I don't have spyware or any weird antivirus programs running. My taskbar is set to be on top. I never had problem

The fish tank background with the original AD is a photo of a real fish tank that was filtered to curb the realism of it compared to the fish and elements. It's oddly difficult to find wallpaper that we could get permission (or even buy) to distribute with AD and still be able to keep the price of the product so low. We do hope

I do wish you'd offer some better and more realistic aquarium backgrounds to go with this. I tried out the last AD and the entire appeal was ruined by the grainy (by the time it got stretched to fit my monitor) and unrealistic fish tank background; it looks like it can't decide between being semi-vector art and semi-photo.

I'm not absolutely positive this is the same problem, I'm having, but @DigitalJames, it is NOT fixed by a setting in Windows (nothing to do with keep taskbar on top, etc. I posted this in another thread but no one has responded. Since posting I have realized that this now occurs with every single WB4 skin in WB5 (for example if I use iFlex with alpha-blending, windows maximize fine, but if I use iFlex for WB4 substyle, windows maximize so t

This has been bugging me for quite a while but I never really bothered to figure out what was going on. I have noticed that when I'm using certain skins, windows won't maximize properly. They maximize beyond the taskbar edge so that even if I hide the taskbar, I still can't see the window's titlebar. I know this has nothing to do with my WB settings since I observe this only with particular skins (in this case, most of them were done by

I just found this thread and it confirms what I've been suspecting since Tuesday. I have the same exact problems! My mouse will work fine and then suddenly become jerky for a few seconds. This happens when I'm running just Firefox and Thunderbird, or MS Word, or Trillian, or any other program that used to work fine. I have noticed this happening regardless of whether I'm running a skin with transparency or some old WB4.6 skins.

Yay! This triple posting thing has been happening the last few days. I'm already running WB5, thanks. I was just saying that "recent purchases" meant Sept and after since I've seen other posts here wondering why they didn't get an upgrade since they purchased in August.

The problem is that some people *will* be purchasing WB and NOT installing it on a computer connected to the internet. Saying that "it shouldn't be too much of a problem and we need it to stop pirates" is like Sony saying "Oh well, we need to install DRM on your computer so we can stop pirates" Yes stopping pirates is an admirable goal, but is the activation *really* stopping them (judging by posts I've seen on various forums, the answer is no) or is
