this post is technically irrelavant now... but the game is where you manage a multi-national corperation, that controls several islands throughout the world (islands meaning in general), you move around the islands and bulid facilites on them this facilites do various things... and also you would need to protect them from competiton and "unfriendly governments".
well making a game With a tech tree that we don't understand gives you advantages in game programing (it doesn't necasarily have to be perfect, just adequtely large and vast so you don't get bored until the end-game)
i dislike Captialim in extreme... Copy-protection is one of this "Issues" with american corperatism today, Corperation leaders don't care that they loose sales, they only care about the Bottom Line, and to them, copy-protection helps keep that balance... but infact they Actually Loose money, they probably are establishing monoplies over their products, not to make true profits... (Statement end) main point is, Stardock is one of the greatest develpers in history, a company that cares
i think that planets shouldget ruffed up by any invansion (think about it, it hurts you because you can't use it) but its minor damage (like 80% less damage) eventually it would become too tedious to keep bombing a planet just to destroy it, and any smart AI would shoot the transports before they hit. anyone have ideas about fixing Planetary damage?(tiles that are destroyed by war, but can be fixed by some tech-Japan after being totaled by the US was eventually rebulit into a develpment par
I think good civs should be able to defend better agansit evil civs and be crusader-like (several advantages aganist evil speficaly). Neutral as it is is good but is not very good at fighting either force (being they don't take part in "Galactic Ethical Politics") Evil is quite powerful as it is, but i think they should get better approval because they are forced too (maybe more gulags?)

GRRR.... well anyways i don't think computer programs should damage the envrioment because they take too much processor power and force it to work too hard. anyways if you do that GC2 would be perhaps... The best game EVUR (even better than the sims!) well that included you manage a sim "family" of faceless zealots that only function every turn, and survive if they can live productivly...

Did your ships have any defenses at all? the operative word here is 'assist', if you don't have any defenses, you can't get any assistance. I don't know if you can have one type of defense on your ships and then get *all* the types from a SB assist or not. Cheers, Reaver well actually, so long as the ship can "
im a "serious Gamer" i play for fun not to win, but often times this leaves me "Flawed". but the good thing is that the games i purchase i play over and over again, saving me much cash!
well being able to control the UP would make your conquest of the Galaxy all the easier.
its one of the many things in GC2 that you cannot stop without angering the other CIV into war. but i think it should be possible to remove them... and isn't it spelled "starbase"?
I dunno about you...But you should be able to rename Stars (only the star) then you don't get crap like Your Home World gets some stupid starsystem name Which is random... also it should be possible to name your starsystem (Metaverse hates custom Races ALOT)

You know if you could name your stars then it would make it like it was your stuff (Plus it makes it easier for some people who can't mod but always get that Misplaced Homeplanet) also the metaverse is evil with Custom races ill tell you!
i think you guys should create a mini-game for GCII, Galciv Defense. it essentially is a game where you control a ship and move it like in space invaders...just that its 3D, and stuff its something to abide our time waiting for the dreadfull Realase day (or shall i say Dae)

Im going for The Lowan Federation. The Lowans are a race of more-or-less Superhumans (cybernetic) that are up the Evoultion chain a bit more. They used to control earth (up until 10 years before the humans discovered that fabled Sensor Drone) They Actually had Hyperdrive and were the ones to dish out Fusion. their hyperdrive technology was encrypted to "regular Humans" and was never known to them until 2170 (when they unleashed total hell) so after the arceans was discovered The terran alliance
hmmm...GC2 is a complex game. What comps are you guys running? (curios, im getting a new comp soon maybe before GC2 goes gold or around) Minor races are only different from major ones only by: The name itself,they are generally weaker than major ones, and that minor civs are random majors are not random and are always the same civ (you may meet them early However...)
Almost every game has had that "strech" period before its finnally completed(less for some some can crippile the end product) i do agree with popup and Shogun. ohy i forgot to mention that the reason why the yor get that -1 point is because they are so different from everyone else it just causes seperation... i also belive it should be negated for Yor-Iconian relations(unless The Icos still hate the yor for rebellion then its ok). also, The Way the AIs relations Should(Probley do) change t
I belive that you should release editing tools so players are able to more mod GC2. i know that you are most likly working on this but i wish to reinforce it and, i belive that people who pre-order should get better quality (possibly somthing you The devps use or SDN issues...) that work better and are simpiler to use or somthing...
