I upgraded my drivers, now running version 3.8.231 (latest). I start GalCiv2, load game, zoom in/out on the galaxy (which is ok), go into the ship designer and drag zoom rotate and then quit, fiddle around with the ship build options at my home world, and then zoomed out on the galaxy and got the static minimap. This was while the game was running with the 'w' option. Try the normal game, couldn't reproduce. Try the 'w' game, couldn't rep

Yeah... I was trying to design a scout ship shortly before encountering this error... I have to experiemnt with that later to see if that relates... If I can reproduce it, I can see if it relates to the 'w' option or not. It also might be a video card related thing... Hi. I'm not sure where to report bugs... I'm running beta 4 of the version 1.1 patch that is comming up. Anywho, earlier in the beta I ran into this problem but I wasn't aware of where to post bugs and I assumed it would be fixed. Yet, it hasn't been fixed yet. The bug is a random garbling of the minimap (more common) or the graph area at the bottom of the UI (less common). With today's garbling I was trying to see if it at al
I didn't play too much of the campaign... but you might want to try this... Play the mission and find where all the planets are. Yes, your "ally" colonized them... Restart that mission and colonizer rush and get every planet before anybody else can, even though it isn't necessarily the brightest thing to do. Then, build up over time (since you now can) and win the mission on your own. Kinda silly, but it worked for me. <b

Ship size is researched in the engineering tree. But I'm thinking what you're really asking is what techs are needed for specific core ship designs, like "Star Fury" and "Battlecruiser." As far as I know, that information isn't available anywhere. Don't worry about trying to get the core ships. Custom design your own ships to sui
Heh, perhaps you should inform us of where to send any potential bug reports... Anywho, here is the three gameplay bugs I ran into. You most likely know about them anyways, but they kinda slapped me in the face when I tinkered with the beta. A) Start a game and above the minimap click on the ownership button, showing ownership space of a
My idea is as follows... Using cheat mode in the game you can change the allegiance of a ship so that it is under your control and you can add a battleship. However, I want a bit more flexability with the "add a ship" cheat... Here is what I propose... You hit the cheat key and a window appears allowing you to choose a race. In other words, you are choosing who will recieve this ship and this selection is vital for the next win
