I haven't noticed any intelligent military strategies in 1.1 (or in 1.0 either). it is nearly impossible for any AI to coordinate effective attack streategies, I have not seen it in any game period . For wh

fFrom my experience in 1.1b unescorted transports are much less frequent than before, and they are effective sometimes because they have increased speed. I lost a small planet to it, the transport had 12 speed and none of my near by fleets could catch up to it.... I watched and chased it for 3 turns and it bypassed all the planets I had orbital defense on and finally invaded one that didnt (it didnt have a starport so i couldnt buy a defense ship, argh
UN votes for trading 3 techs between civs, for some reason, I ended up getting some 15 techs (As far as I can tell that's all of the tech I have not researched but the AI did), and at the end of a very long reseerach break through pop-up's.. I got the message saying 'you received no tech because you are very advanced' etc. Some more on the ship design cannot fit component bug: I played three new games so far and in every gam
Cannot instal any component on upgrading ships, it says 'component is too large to fit' even when there is no functional component installed. This happend about a year into the game, it worked ok before (the most recent tech researched was sensors 1). I can still make a new ship and install components to it ok, but not upgrading, or using previous hull designs. I have the game saved, but ummm.. how do I upload it here?
Maybe you should set your desktop res the same or higher than your game res, or lower your game res. I read it somewhere, but I am not sure if it's for this game
exactly my feeling! and that's why I could never finish any strategy games from Civilization to Rome total war....but.. I've finished four GC2 because of metaverse
Turn off 'follow ship' in the interface settings, and before ending your turn, focus your view on somewhere in the galaxy with less activity. it will speed up each turn a lot.
My first games in GC2 were on gigantic with 6-8 intellgient AI's on Tough and I won fairly easily. Now I'm playing with the same settings but on huge map with 5 AI and man is it tough! I lost a game yesterday and it looks like I might lose again today. I'm going for conquest victory but my empire is...shrinking. AI seems a bit odd on gigantic maps. For example the Drengi AI never did much of anything in both of my wins, but now they are a
Agreed, the current design allowed me to level up several of my medium ships to have 200+ HP each. The fleet had 1400 something HP. I think the system is fine except to reach higher levels it should be made much difficult (starting level seems to be fine). The AI..rarely able to keep his ships alive after an engagement, is currently severely handicapped against human experienced fleets.
Hello, I figured since I'm in China the shipping fee could be quite a bit so I chose not to get the box... so now I'm wondering how do I back up the game? Or all I need to do is keep the serial , should I reinstall my PC I just download again using stardock central and the serial? Would burn the program folders to a disc work? Thanks!
This is not true, the race that have been surrendered to does not enter war with you, at least not always. In my game the Yor surrendered to the terrans, who was the most powerful empire and we remained at peace for ten years. then the terrans decleared war and took me out....
I have been playing SE4 on and off for years and GC2 for, well.. 2 days, and I recommend you to get GC2. This is why: * AI. For SE4 to be even mildly challenging you will need to get mods, and it's still not very hard and you have to give the AI bonuses (It is in part due to the warp point structure of the strategy map in SE4, players can easily block a warp point with mines and satellites to prevent anyone from entering, I have NEVER lost a
