I would wager that by 'waiting hours on end' you're referring to the 'Processing Data' window that appears when you attempt to create a character. If that is indeed the case, then I would guess that you're running an older version of firefox or opera. The metaverse does not support opera. If you're using firefox, you should make sure that you're using the latest version.

We posted an update last week that should take care of this issue.
I've been able to log in fine on multiple machines. Without details on a problem you may be having there isnt much we can do.
Please have a read over, and post metaverse website support questions on the Metaverse Help! thread located here https://forums.galciv2.com/?AID=101610
Sorry, but I have no control over the scoring. You could always start a thread and try to get the attention of a game developer to petition a change.
Hello Everyone! Just a quick post to let you all know that we have updated the metaverse website. You'll notice a few things have been fixed up (such has joining a moderated empire) and we've added just a few new features (such as RSS feeds). Enjoy!
Xeno - Log into Stardock Central and have it resend your registration information. That should send you the correct serial number. If you do not have Stardock Central or do not wish to install it, please contact [email protected].
Coastie74 - The bit about the test data is from an old index file that overwrote what we had up there. We'll be taking care of that soon. I have also just downloaded the latest version of firefox ( since it was updated to 1.5.0.2 recently ) to confirm that the metaverse still works properly and am unable to reproduce any processing data hang or dissappearing windows. If you're not using IE and still having issues, you can post information on your system and your browser and we c
Flash, I show your characters as added properly on this link... http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=sdnetaccount&acid=2427681 If you are using Firefox please make sure you have updated to the latest version. The metaverse only supports firefox and IE.
Please attach a copy of your debug file and email that along with a description of the issue to [email protected].
Hook69 - I'm sorry, can be describe the issues you're having with any more detail?
KL Stafford - This issue would be better directed at the game team, because it is an in-game functionality issue. Please send a report of your problem along with any details you supply and attach a copy of the debug file (located in the game's directory) to [email protected] amd CC [email protected].
ahsura the hegehog - I'm afraid that I will need more detail to address the issue you are seeing. Also, if you are running Firefox, please make sure that you have the latest stable version (1.5.0.1) as the metaverse website only supports that version of firefox and IE (no opera support).
fsk+ please contact [email protected] to change your nickname. Unfortunately we are no longer allowing special, non alphanumeric characters in usernames.
At present there is no way for users to delete their characters. There's really no reason if you think about it. If you would like to clear your character's scores, you can. And if you want to rename your character, you can. So the only reason to really delete a character would be to free up a character slot, which doesnt much matter, as you'll only ever have three available right now. If you've come up with a reason to delete a character that we havent yet though of, please do l
Darklor, please clear all galciv2.com and stardock.com cookies and try again.
We have a fix. It's a matter of getting the fix published
If this occurs again please clear all galciv2.com and stardock.com cookies.
Correct. Only the library moderators can set the rating at the moment.
I was unable to reproduce the error youre seeing. I will need to know the contents of every field that you have entered when you are trying to upload your mod. And I do mean EVERY FIELD. I want to try and duplicate this so I can solve the bug, so I'll need to exactly duplicate the data you're using. Thanks
woo!
Klord - You could take a screenshot and email it to me (andrew at stardock.com), and I could try to reproduce it. But we've not been able to force any page in the metaverse to give us those results.
Please be aware that ONLY the LATEST STABLE version of firefox is supported on the metaverse. Currently the latest stable build available to the public is 1.5.0.1. Please update firefox or use IE for the metaverse.
Crazyhawk - Please try going into the Edit My Characters page in the metaverse and selecting a default character.
Please refrain from the 'useless' statements guys. It's unnessesary and makes going through posts that much more difficult, trying to decipher legitimate issues from banter. Please help us out in that regard. We're all very much aware of the issues with the forums and are working towards fixing them on a daily basis. We appreciate your suggestions and do actually make note of them. Please do make a note that the Watch feature on the forums here is currently pretty much broken.
