Thanks Basj! I don't really want to turn it off, as those updates might be important bug quenching, and my goldfish-brain won't be able to remember to update manually. So let's hope a more gamer-friendly way to update gets implemented. :)

As it says in the title. The last thing anybody wants when being in the middle of a heated battle, or attempting that difficult jump, is the game withdrawing to the taskbar and a popup telling me that Start11(2) has a new update............Not interested, not right now, definitively not right now! ;) Would it be possible to code it so that it only gives you that popup for example within a couple of minutes after starting the computer?

Thank you for your inputs. I have tried to uninstall Start11, screening my system for the dll in question and making sure it is no longer present, but I have still problems with Firefox. So Start11 didn't seem to be the culprit. I have upgraded to Start11v2 now. Seemed to be a good time as any. P.S: good to see you are a Community Assistant now basj :)

Hi there, I am using Start11 1.47 Beginning yesterday I had suddenly trouble with Firefox (119.0 64bit) just constantly flashing and giving me the "Gah, the tab just crashed"-treatment. When trying to troubleshoot (including completely removing Firefox and any folder related to Mozilla before re-installing), I came across the "third-party"-plugins. One of which is apparently start10_64.dll. My questions; - is this normal that Start11 would u

As of the newest update 1.93 (inclusive the Minor Factions DLC) I no longer encounter this problem. At least for me, the new secondary (Stardock) start-up screen has gone and SOSE starts directly and in full-screen now. Additionally it finally runs steady as a rock and doesn't crash during auto-saves as it would frequently before. No idea what changed, but I am not complaining and I pray that I won't get another forced Steam update for the rest of my life. ;) :)</p

Hi, I just encountered exactly the same problem. I even re-installed Rebellion and tried every possible fix from the Rebellion trouble-shooting e-support-site over at Stardock (updated Graphics Drivers, re-installed all Common-Redist ran PermFixer and so on right to the bottom of the list). I then noticed that Rebellion will start normally when I run it in windowed mode (by manually changing the settings-file). However, since there doesn't seem to be a borderless window-mode, that is

I would like to see a solution to this problem as well. The game (version 1.8, incl "Forbidden Worlds" and "Stellar Phenomena"-DLC's) crashes after about 30 Minutes, even though autosave is turned off (because this too caused my game to crash (always during the second autosave, which was at 30 Minutes as well!)). I have no mods installed (never had). Win8 64 bit with 16 GB RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M All drivers and Windows are up to date. The game is the Steam version

I haven't read this whole thread, but much worse than Impulse selling Steam-Games (and declaring that the Steam-Client is needed) are the DRM-always on Games sold on various platforms by UBI-Soft. Most game-selling platforms don't declare what kind of DRM is used on the games they sell. Impulse used to be the best in that relation, since they used to declare it clearly. Howerver, since the merger? with Game-Stop this feature seems to have disappeared (or is hidd

Hmmm, I might have to invest all of next weekend to read the Litestep manuals on "how to create a RightClick-Menu without changing the complete shell". [e digicons]^_^[/e] You think that is even possible?
I'm not alone on saying this, but retireing/discontinueing RightClick might just be a huge 'mistake', IF there will be no future replacement.
So true. I for my part won't renew ObjektDesktop next April for the first time since 2001 if RightClick does not (in one form or another) re-surface. It was (in my opinion) the most useful and work-enhancing program that Stardock ever made, and unfortunately there is no real (Winstep is good, but to much for my need

@lifekatana and Tasunke. You guys ARE aware of the fact that the vast majority of "the people of the West" are working hard every day just to barely get by? And that there is a growing proportion of the "o so rich westeners" who lives beneath the poverty-line? I am always suprised that a lot of people obviously still think of "the West" as a place where the rivers are full of milk and the honey runs down the streets. Until these same people actually immigrate to "the West" and
Stardock doesn't own the rights of PixOS, Stardock and Pixtudio are sharing rights on Universe Metal and Logika only, which means Stardock and Pixtudio is allowed to sell the suites and their own update/modifications at the time the contract was signed. He, He. The reactions here are not only expected but also (to an extent) understandable. Why come here to the forums for current customers and make an anouncement about a kick-ass computer that can be won by anyone but current customers? This might have been better placed on the Impulse Front-Site. Hilarious! [e digicons][/e]

I found that Ikea-furniture is "non-moveable". You can buy it and put it in your apartement but when you move out, the best thing to do is to just sell it to the person that is moving into your old apartement. If you try to move it, it will just fall apart (except the smaller pieces). [e digicons]8(|[/e] Ahh, and don't buy their food. It is really horrible! I haven't tested your widgets for some time. I just heard that some widgets have stopped working after installing SP1. It is possible that the mods assumed that you created your widgets on XP and that they won't work on Vista SP1, or that they just wan't to be on the safe side and label all widgets as XP only.
