I for one am happy they are still around.

That sucks. I just bought HOMM 3 there last week.
Does Oblivion work on Vista. I was going to buy it a while back but I thought I heard that is not Vista compatible.
I'm just trying to figure this out. So civ 5 and Fallout 3, even if I buy them at a store will force me to download and use steam in order to play? And also does Steam get to be the only place to purchase a digital copy if one chooses to not buy a physical copy of the game?
"I was still considering buying Starcraft 2 (aka Starcraft 1 with slightly different units and improved graphics) but now i'm afraid they are going to charge for extra levels, or game modes, or units....." Well they are breaking the game up into 3 full price games. instead of xpacks.
If they take time to make single player worth playing and add a feature to pause the game to issue commands during skirmish maps, I'll get it. if not...........I'll pass.
I'd go with Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series. I would also rank George RR Martin A Song of Ice and Fire series as well, but who knows if it will ever be completed.
HOMM3 no doubt. It is a great game. I wish it had a setting for widescreen monitors though.
Ahem: "the graphics look like some kids game " Looks like a kids game is not the same as saying it IS a kids game
Will they? Do you think that this graphical style, that clearly took time and effort to create, is just placeholder until they create the actual assets for the game? Do you think that SD would post screenshots if they weren't at least somewhat indicative of what the final product will look like? And if SD does change
I'll have Fallout 3, Elmetal, war of magic, Gears of War 2, WOW Rise of the Lich King, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. thanks.
the graphics look like some kids game for the Wii or gameboy. Oh, I absolutely love this kind of immature response. "Oh, it's not photorealistic, it looks like a cartoon, so it's a kid's game!" Just ignore these people. Keep doing what you're doing.
That was my first impression. I stand by it. I'm sure you read my whole post that also said that I have faith that the game will be great.
I have all the faith in the world that the game will be great, but right now the graphics look like some kids game for the Wii or gameboy.
Hands down..............Caddyshack 2
What is that tech brokering tab? I never knew you could trade techs that you have not rescearched. The special planets adjuster looks awesome, and the new shipyard from the menu screen will be great. My 8 yr old will love it. Now I have to keep old game saves from late game play so he can build ships.
I noticed that the recommended Ram is 1 gig. Would 768 be good enough?
Personally, I will buy it if I can pause during gameplay and micromanage when I choose for single player. I would more than likely play SP most of the time. I thought that was what missing from Warcraft 3, and it seems common enough these days, most RTS games have this feature now..
Is this the Fantasy TBS game that has been talked about for a long time?
It's sad if TA is last exp. GC2 is a great game and they should continue it. I mean GC3 takes years, and personally, i'm not really interested buy every new game in the series (Don't have GC1, never going to buy/rent etc.), i'd rather see more exp packs. Cheaper, devs can concentrate to smaller amount of content so it's better, and new stuff overall is fun.
With all the editors coming out, I have a feeling this game will still
I loved that game. If they included the feature of being able to pause the game and make commands in pause during a single player game, I would still be playing it to this day. ( I only like to play RTS in SP).
Um December of course, unless the game is not ready. I can enjoy the new features when I have the X-pac, no need to introduce it piece by piece.
I played WOW for a year and a half and quit soon after the X-pac. It was fun for a while as a casual player, but then it evolved into timesinks, long instances, rep grinding, etc. It just got boring. Then when the x-pac came out, every player was on the 60+ areas and the game with 8,000,000 subscribers was like a ghost town. They also removed the LFG chat and that eliminated any real way of finding a group(the LFG tool was crap). Not to mention the blood elves looked completely childish and
Does anyone know what happened to the newest posts section of the website? I dont know if it's just me but there is a section that says newest posts, but there is nothing there. Thanks
I'm looking forward to the better performance as well. Is there going to be any work done to tech trading after the last patch made it very difficult?
Please fix the too stingy tech trading system as a result of the nerf patch.
Yea, I hope Im wrong, but an earlier dev post in this thread only said that military techs are hard to trade, (I can see that a little, but Ii should be possible for a superdiplomat with further advanced diplomacy techs to work over some of the other races for some military tech at a good price), It was never said in the post that the problem is being looked at at all. I'm still hoping though. They have a great track record.
