Playing Beta 2. Immense galaxy, everything set on abundant. Small graphics glitch when playing Terrans. When first ship being built is constructor there is no image upon launching ship (it doen't matter if you build or buy). If you save game or alt-esc to desk top, the image appears upon reloading game. However, the ships icon is larger than any other constructor on screen. If I build a colony ship 1st, the colony ship image appears and and subsequent constuctors I build also appear correc

Dear Frogboy - Yes Grasshopper, we have all learned a valuable lesson. Seeking perfection is admirable, expecting to attain it, foolish. Live long and prosper.
Dear Frogboy - Telling the people who are the most passionate about your game to "get a grip" doesn't exactly strike me as a smart marketing move. We know how hard it is just to make a good game, heck we've all bought tons of flawed ones, and this is a GREAT game! These forums and your responsiveness to issues brought up in them, frequent & free updates, is just one of the things that we love about Stardock. I don't usually get involved in forums, but this issue was really important to
Okay, maybe I'm beating a dead horse here, but I really don't want this issue to carry over into the new game, which I have pre-ordered because I really like what you guys do. Here is the breakdown of the stars systems within 3 sectors of my homeworld on 1.8a (gigantic map, all settings abundant, loose clusters): 13 stars, 8 habitable planets (11,10,8,8,7,6,5,2), 8 habitable with tech (10,9,8,8,8,5,1,1), 27 uninhabitable (63%) Here is the breakdown of a pre-cap game, same
I tried 1.8a and there's no significant change from 1.8. I know you guys are working on this issue, but I can't enjoy the game like this. I play gigantic maps, everything set on abundant, with loose clusters. I play this way because I enjoy the time it takes to discover everything a map like this offers. I don't want the # of stars limited to 300. I don't use the Metaverse. I haven't had a memory leak problem for quite awhile. Everything was working great before the cap. This is a great
I just tried 1.8 & I don't like it at all! I've played every version since Gal Civ II was released and this is the first time the upgrade was actually a step backwards. I have an above average rig & like to play gigantic maps with all settings at abundant. Why should I be punished if some people can't play the gigantic map because their computer can't handle it? Put this setting back to the way it was NOW!!!!!
MOM was one of my all-time favs. Anyone remember Mail Order Monsters on the Atari computer?
