a little late on the response but yes you can run raid 0 for a little boost in speed. if your still in the market, take a look at newegg to put something together. sorry i didn't back to you sooner, I have been overwhelmed with classes. focus on a good motherboard. I say go for ASUS mobo's, I have used ASUS for many years and even though i have used others, i always come back to ASUS, especially f

It all comes down to how much money you want to spend really. Take a look here to compare CPU's . If you choose to stick with Intel, you might want to look at the i3 and i5's as well. Don't spend money on things you don't need. You also have to look at the socket type There are two types. LGA
Goo, the link provided is for a product to be used for text based programs only, not intended to display video.
I used it for a time and it worked fine for me, you just have to make sure you run the same resolution on all your monitors. So if you have a varying size of monitors you will have trouble.

RedneckDude - In that case, get another nvidia card to run the other monitor. I have a GTX 260 for the primary and a 8800GT running my other two monitor, but you can use a cheap card if you want. Unless your trying to do multi-monitor gaming. I have a second rig with two t$30 cards and they work fine if i ran three monitors, which I do sometimes. Also you can get a USB to VGA adapter if you want, I did that one time using USB 2.0 VGA Adapter

I have used Ultramon for years, think back in the 1.0 version days. If you know anything about Ultramon you know that is a very, very long time. I recently switched to Display Fusion because the last time I checked Ultramon didn't have Windowblinds support for Windows 7. I think Ultramon is better because it has a smaller footprint than Display Fusion, but DF has many additional feature that Ultramon does not.

A little late, but maybe you will get this. I think because the HDMI and the DVI share the connection, if I am wrong then it's probably because the card shuts one of the connections down so as not to make it work over time drawing images. ATI shares connections with the DVI and the display port, so i tend to think that it is the same with the DVI and the HDMI

did you resolve your issue? you might want to pick up a cheap ati card to run the secondary monitors. although objectdock is the only app having an issue, but i have run across some strange issue when running ato and nvidia drivers on the same computer, just about as many times have have seen computer that never had an issue... best of luck, let me know how it all turns out... :)

try putting your middle monitor on the 5870 and run the secondary monitors on the 8400. you could have a driver conflict causing your issue.you could run all three monitors from the 5870 and utilize the eyefinity feature. this would possibly fix the issue because you will not be running nvidia and ati drivers on the same machine and other benefits are reduce power consumption and heat generation in your system. At least get the secondary monitors running on the 8400 an

When resizing images from a small resolution to a larger resolution you will lose image quality. Bit if you really need, you can open the image with windows paint program and on the home tab click on re size, then you can re size the image based on percent or you can change it by pixel. I suggest using pixel, because you can choose the resolution of your monitor. regardless of the program you use you are asking the program to compute how to fill pixels as the image inc

I would first try some benchmarking tools. Try the benchmarkijng tools from Futuremark. You can use them for mobile and PC benchmarking. The 3DMark and PCMark lines of PC benchmark software help you get more from your PC for games, media or applications. Futuremark Also, try using GPU-Z to get realtime data on your graphics hardware.
When the theory and practice are so far removed... worlds apart, regulation is essential... otherwise the gap between the haves and the have nots becomes an insurmountable chasm.
It's a double edged sword were playing with. Though I agree that unregulated capitalism can increase this gap between the haves and have nots, too much regulation will do the same and faster and in fact too much regulation will increase the size of the have nots and shrink that of the ha
but as long as compatibility is clearly stated in the description, any legacy compatibility should be optional.
agreed, needing to support a specific OS is a lame requirement. As for XP , hell even Microsoft stopped primary support for that thing, although extended support ends 2014... having the compatnability of the OS'es in the description should be sufficient.

The real reason why net neutrality is controversial, is that lets the government again tell us what we can and cannot do. Government intrusion is getting ridiculous. It not enough they tell us that we MUST have healthcare, or that I must wear a seatbelt, and even more so when they tell people how much money they can make or how much profit a company is allowed to earn... now we want them telling us how we should allow other to use what is ours. Now personally i don't li

I have to agree, but that's hard to do with master skins... master skins will be open to more critique than other skins because you cannot review before you buy. the screenshot really needs to sell the product...
