Are all of you having this problem in fullscreen mode? I can't move the mouse to an edge to get scrolling in any direction, but I was guessing that had something to do with my being in windowed mode.

GC/OS2 used to have solar resources. I was dissappointed when GC1 didn't.
Dyson sphere were speculated in Star Trek, That was in "Star Trek: Next Generation" in the episode "Relics".
I have already looked at the files containing the description of the ships provided by StarDock, and it looks like the technical support is already there. In GC1 they provided for extensive customization of the game. I have to believe they will do the same for GC2.
On beta 2 the stats were actually climbing. I was getting higher quality planet increases with each game I played. I have not checked for this one on Beta 3 as yet.
This is one of several accelerator keys that either don't work or work intermittantly. For others, see https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=274&AID=85114
Same here.
It also finds ships without any move points left.
I just called up my foreign policy screen and two of the races show outside the window (near the top of the main screen). I am sending a snapshot to Scott.
On the ship detail view (and in the ship yard) the camera controls are so dim that it is very hard to see them.
Of course, in GC1 we didn't have the spaceport window, and were able to go directly to a planet view with the planet list still up. This has all changed. Now, if you want to buy a bunch of colony ships based on the minimum number of turns left (a close enough approximation of less cost to finish), you have to go to the starport window several times. Being able to choose which planet's starport you want from the planet list without having to recall the planet list and
There are several key functions that seem to operate intermittantly, such as the "c" key when a ship is selected, and the enter key for next turn. I haven't noticed any others just yet, but I will be watching for them.
I forgot about the GC1 planet list behaviors. Yes, that sounds better.
I don't think that it's related to displays being updated. The overall approval in the domestic policy screen should be updated immediately when you change the tax rate. Otherwise, how can you tell what the affect is of your change?
Select a planet from the planet list (single click to get the planet data on the main screen). Then click on the starport button. Now, when you return, the planet list is gone. If you wish to continue working with the planet list, you have to call it up again, and get repositioned within it.
This is a real UI problem. Advancing to the next turn when viewing another screen can have serious consequences in game play. PLEASE, inhibit the turn button when any other screen is displayed over the main map screen.
With all ships on autopilot (all 2 of them), clicking "find" or pressing the tab key goes to one of the ships on autopilot. Unlike on beta 2, now it always does this, instead of just once a turn.
You can see the ships of other races in unexplored space, even though you can't get the text for such a ship to display. I am getting a screen shot and sending it to Scott.
This is probably another case of the display not being updated immediately under a specific situation. After a turn or two I looked at the domestic policy screen again and saw that the overall approval rate now tracks with the tax rate. In line with this, if a planet is currently selected while the tax rate is being altered, the approval rate of a planet should also track with the spending rate immediately. With the current code, you either have to desele
Some tiles have indications that certain types of improvements will get a bonus benefit, such as "7% bonus to culture", but it is not clear with all of the possible bonuses which improvements these apply to. For instance, does "culture" aid improvements that add to a planet's "influence"?.
Once I discovered that the colony ship was not moving, I moved it manually for a couple of turns then set it to a new destination and now it is moving.
Downloaded and started B3, started a new game, and set the original two ships in motion, first the survey ship with the "A" command (autosurvey) and then the colony ship by right clicking a destination some 10 tiles away. The survey ship moves automatically and explores anomalies successfully, but the colony ship just sits there (it was three or four turns before I noticed it hadn't moved). Once I discovered that the colony ship was not moving, I moved it manually
That is where the picture of the planet appeared in B2. B3, no planet picture.
here is some news that will get you thinking. WOW. Amazing.
Why should fleets be limited? The AI has the same options the human player does. GC1 didn't have a limit that I could find (I had a fleet of well over 100 ships at one time).
