What happens if I build a freighter, park it next to a NPC planet, and give itto them as a gift? Will it go and establish a trade route? If so, what will be the source planet? Will it be the planet on which it was built, or will it be a default planet owned by the other guy?

What's a supply ship? Do you mean trade ships? Perhaps you are talking about a mod that I don't have.
Now I know how the other races can build such speciality items like DIp Translators and a whole fleet of colony ships before I even have Impulse drive researched: I'm looking at a screen (espionage) showing the Altarians at -18228 bc. How can their treasury possibly BE so low?
Got it. How long is the lease, and is it done automatically? I don't believe I know of an AI leasing anything from me.

Can I fire AT the Captain? How about if I just wing him? I understand that it has on order of surveying the anomalies. Sometimes I manually stop the ship, take it off auto, re-order the autosurvey command and it does the same thing. Then again, sometimes it just changes course for a closer anomaly on it's own. In addition, sometimes it will just sit there ignoring anomalies altogether. It forces me to manually search the galaxy every few turns looking for

Why does my survey ship ignore anomalies when it's on auto survey? On a small map it's no problem looking for anomalies uncovered by a different ship, but on Large or higher, it's a drag. I also keep seeing it (when it does work) drive right by an anomaly that's closer to get to another that's further away? Can I just fire the captain?
It won't take my Alias/SN. There was a question at first if a character in question was a capital "I" or a "1", but I resolved that. I must have, since I'm here. So what gives?
So when I build a trade good I get the bonus. If I lease it to someone else do I still get the bonus as well? Does the lease last forever? I don't think I have ever leased anything to an AI, is it like trading tech? How does it work?
Is the time on the main technology research screen arrived at by adding the total research outputs of all planets, which is dependant on the cash spent on it?
Thank you fellow warfighters. You are wise and powerful. And snappy dressers.
I get it that mined bonuses are for your entire empire, but I'm still not sure what they do. What does 10% bonus Military or Technology mean? Economic and morale are pretty straightforward, but Military what, and Technology what? Is it Military production or attack/defense/HP? What about technology? Is it how fast you learn new ones? Is it the capability to get certain ones? What's the deal
