Got a similar problem. Using win 7 (x64) and before installing the game everything worked fine. Install GC2 and the mouse went crazy. It auto scrolls, all the time. Quit the game, it STILL auto scrolls in everything. Uninstalled the game, drivers and it still auto scrolls. This is unbelievable. I bought GC2 3 years ago. I deleted it then after 2 weeks from the serious bug issues. I thought maybe, just maybe Stardock would have solved them - not. I'll keep working on the

quick note...got new SLI drivers recommended above... work really well. But not for GCII... I still have thoughts that the problem is not vid... Once again for the people that wish to abuse me... read my posts... I am not knocking the game. I am not knocking Star Dock. I LOVE the game. I HATE the BUGS. If someone bought this game without internet access they would be buggered.

#52 thanx, I have just updated the realtek drives. Hope that helps too. #56 the Mobo drivers are all good, thanx #59, thanx for the input, but have not found anything to concur with your thoughts. #60, I agree I should watch my spelling…but that does not correct the fundamentals. #62, thanx, I understand that there are so many configurations of computers for Star Dock to consider… but that is there job. I am starting a ne

Please don’t patronize me #50. They are named that way for a reason. There is a standard for issuing updates which this awesome game has neglected. and it will take a few days for me to test it.

lol, thanx for the advice Zeta... but try telling a race car driver not to supe his engine or only use stock tires. I enjoy my gaming experiences more when my computer is performing better.

spearthrower, please refer to my post #28. There were updated drivers until 2 days ago when an obvious error occured when I tried a new install of non Nvidia drivers to try sort out soe SLI issues. This problem has been there since the day one, when using new drivers too. XenoPhage is right... the last two lines do baffle me a bit too. If information needed to conect to the metaverse is in that buffer, then obviously it is an issue... Although I

continued to #33... formating the system is not something I am prepared to do, nor is it something that I should have to. I defrag before and after installing to ensure it is about as issue free as possible.

#33, understood, but I have an old 200GB ide with the game partitioned 3 ways and an 80GB SATA drive with the OS so that I can keep everything clean and clear.

reply 25, thank you as well. I have, as indicated many sets of drivers. When I use the factory provided disk, 3Dmark05 gives much better results than the new NVidia drivers.

That is quite the abuse Hayly... 2 days ago I updated all my display drivers... I have gone back and tried to find how the system after using Driver Cleaner Pro would still be able to roll back the drivers to the factory drivers. Responce #20 was helpfull in pointing out that the reinstall was faulted, and I have corrected it. That said, the driver update form the Nvidia 81.98 drivers I was using 2 days ago would not have given me problems logging on t

Hmmm.... the system is stable. It runs at CPU 38c and 45c under load. The GPU's are 52c-62c, respectively. I have completed 36 hour stress tests on both the CPU and GPU's... The system is stable and OC forum I belong to has not reported any problems relating to OC'ing a system and this game. There are not 23 pages of bugs and over 200 replies under 'glitches' because every one is OC'ing their system. The game is good and buggy.

Saying my problem is because of OC'ing a system is nonsence. You are as guilty as I am for mothing off without thinking. I have posted the specs and the debug.err

there are 309 pages for my debug.err file. Which part would you like? Here is the final few lines which completed the game and refused Metaverse posting. It's an OC'd dual 6800 SLI setup. There is nothing wrong with the computer, drivers or software. My complaints are legit. Read the forums, they speak the same. The game is awsome, but it is buggy. Patch 3 is out at the end of the month - that alone speaks volumes.

Galactic Civ I was one of the best games I had ever played. I purchased GC II online betting that the quality would repeat. 2 patches later... and still I cannot finish a game without crashes or sloppy bugs. When I do finally get through a game, it only lets me post the results to the metaverse 50% of the time. There are 23 screens of bugs. There are posts within these pages containing dozens of 'glitches'. The Patches are called 'D' and 'X', n

Little is more frustrating than investing large amounts of time into a game and then your results being discarded. This is the third game I have lost. I have found no reason for this. I have cable modem and am always connected online. I log into metaverse each time I start a game or load a save game. The button on the main screen is never highlighted, but this does not seem to influence the outcome. Frankly, I am
