well thats one thing this beta is for , and I agree with what you are saying there. perhaps the system would be contextual so for updating a design it would assume a v1, v2, v3 etc

A good multiplayer you can play even on GalCiv 1 is Game of the month A group like a forum has someone set up a game acording to certain agreed settings and makes a save at start. everyone plays the start game with only the alowed mods (including a mods banned variant) and you then compair notes with proof on whom did the best

looks like the dropdowns do not work quite ok. I would alsolike ship dropdowns to just take me to the planet and select it but NOT enter the planet screen, either that or go to the spaceport screen.

Limited Building tiles sound to me much better for the majoraty of "Unusable" tiles not just tourist traps but research zones (Volcanic land maybe) Millitary areas (Ala the legends of area 51)

well I have mannaged to complete a game even this early avoiding the usual causes for Crashing to desktop I mannaged to defeat the Dreggin by culture victory. Has anyone else mannaged to win a game or have the CTD defeated everyone else

for speed in GC2 you can pout more than 1 engine on a ship so 2x impulse engine (Spd 1) = 2 move/turn so an end game super engine = 9 so 2 supers at 9pts = 18 move/turn

agreed with dano13 last comment lets say cause for war 0 / 25% diplomatic fallout big time 26 / 40$ diplomatic fallout 41 / 60% tut tut tut naughty you 61 / 75% do not do that again 76 / 90% thats cause for war 91 / 100% what we are not at war yet

I seem to be getting the oposite my range extends and I see a new world not far from my new borders and I try to send the range 6 colony ship there and it is out of ramge

well looking for good planets is easyer now as there are rings representing the planets if you zoom all the way out the best are white dots more rings = better world

well me ship design and mp comes right down the bottom being normaly a casual gamer not a l33t gamer who loves to always be top of the tree. I much rather prefer stardocks metaverse system where if you want you can bask in a high number in the metaverse but I can still win against the ai as I set it and not get beaten down by some elite gamer whom spends 10 hrs a day playing the game as I spend 10 hrs a day working

range extenders has anyone still asking for them put suport on a ship that has the same role as low class worlds but costs less in the long run. sorry if i sound rude but it seems odd using the GC1 strat when all you need is a couple of support modules and the range is much larger. as an example a basic colony ship is range 1 without support but with 1 support it becomes range 6 (both are self made ships), I have made range 11 speed 3 colony ships

happened to me once I think that only happens if the AI is on your doorstep so catches even your homeworld undeveloped. I think it is bad luck not good AI
