ok, i kinda mentioned awhile ago, but here it is, and a little broader. can we get additional modules for ships (as new techs are researched, obviously). the most obvious being modules that have the same effect as the vamp/wraith/paladin/sovvy ships did in GC1. i guess those would be after you research ethics. however, i think that only hitpoint sucker and healer modules should be ethic specific, while defense booster and offense booster should be usab

Why can't i deliver ultimatums eh? at least in GC1(and i assume in GC2) if i was making a obvious cultural subversion attempt (eg a starbase) they would flat out say that i would either give therm the starbase or they would declare war on me. my thing is this, i have about 3/4 of the galctic power bar (i assume thats what the thing to the left of the graph is) i have an atronomically high military, yet when i send a tiny demand to a race, they give me
okay, so u get interstellar republic all the way to star federation. and u get more money. but there is a problem. whenever i get to star federation i max out my spending to 100% but i still have money im not spending. ok well who doesn't llike extra money? well true but i wish i could funnel that into projects and research, etc. Galciv 1 did this where it apparently reduced your cash, but what it actually did was give you more and it increased your ro
is that when a race came to you with a peace treaty offer, you could see everything that u had and that they had, effectively, if u were beating the crap out of them, but didn't just want to settle for peace, u could demand some techs, planets, money, etc from them as part of the treaty, can't do that with 4D nor GC1 i think u should bring back that "bug" because it a
ok, after playing beta 4d here are some more minor things i have noticed, if some things i mention already exist or have been soled and i just didn't care to look that hard, please tell me. Planetary Stuff I find that my governor does not start upgrading as soon as i acquire a previously owned system, whether cultarally, militarily, or through surrender. =/ where'd the ship
okay saw a thread asking if there was going to be a program for editing galciv. well u don't really need one. most of the pertinent files like party files, imps, race files, anomoly files, etc can be edited with notepad. on top of that, the files are pretty self explanatory. if u need help or (most likely) noe more about this than i do, leave a reply.
hi, i'm not sure i'm posting this in the right area but whatever. while playing the demo, i noticed a few things that were not really bugs, just annoying things that slowed down gameplay. 1) A "next" button when cruising through planets that have finished projects like in gc1, maybe make it a toggle - able feature for those who like the little pop ups on the right side (nice idea btw) which leads me into the next topic.................
The only point I was trying to make was that different races probably have very different lifespans. The numbers don't really seem appropriate, since we have no way of knowing how old "80" is for a non-human race. true, but age is age, the fact that a Torian might have 60 more years to look forward to vs a humans 10 (est) doesn't change
so how does everyone start a game in glaciv2? ie, structure list, do u buy immedietly, how do u allocate funds (sliders) etc.?
when i start a game, i obviously have to start colonies. my problem is the astronomical maintenance costs of a new colony. how do i overcome this without having to jack up taxes to compensate and drop my spending to nil? thanx PS ya i noes colonize better worlds, but im not lucky enuff to find 15< scattered everywhere =/
