Umm, cos it'd make things considerably more interesting if people are sending attachments with girls in skimpy bikinis....maybe it's not so silly after all. Do emails with large attachments produce avatars with large enhancements?

Ironically, printers are the ONLY thing I'll buy from HP. I prefer my Epson scanner (hated the HP software in the 1990s and never looked back). And I have had nothing but problems with HP computers. But I've been nothing but happy with Deskjet printers. But as more and more of our photos are digital these days, I appreciate the points in this article. There are definitely things I'm going to have to consider for our next purchase.
I have 2300 + songs (all ripped from the original CD in WMA lossless format) which have to be in either .mp3 or .aac (.m4p) format to run in iPod....The 'Zune' can read all three formats (.mp3, .aac, and .wma) making it more compatible with multiple media formats, and thus with more 'stock' computers. <br/
You can own an iPod and not be locked into the hardware, you know. I'm not, as everything I have is DRM free and either ripped from my own CDs or downloaded from emusic.com (no DRM). I can easily switch from my iPod to a different player, should a better one be offered. But from the reviews I've read, the Zune isn't it.
Currently, if you right-click on an object, the context menu starts with "File System Menu" and then lists ObjectBar options. Is it possible to switch the two? That is, is there any way to have "ObjectBar Menu" at the top of the regular context menu? If it's not currently possible, is this something that can be added? I've played with Ubuntu in a virtual machine for a couple of months. My work computer has a speedy P4, but my laptop won't hack the virtualization (being old and all). One thing I did find that I appreicate is "Easy (Ubuntu" Link ), which includes a number of codecs and media players in a nice, complete package so that you don't have to go searching for each of them individuall. I've been waiting and looking for something like this. The majority of the articles I'm reading these days (graduate school) are PDFs. I'd love a digital reader so that I don't have to carry a laptop or print everything out. 'twould definitely make my life easier - if it ever made it to market.

I've still got my PilotPro around here somewhere and, honestly, I'm not that bothered by the fact that Palm decided to offer WinMobile on their hardware. Oh, how I wish it worked. I installed it, but it never added itself to the list of toolbars for the Taskbar. Then again, I've got two instances of Windows Media Player, and I know that ain't right.
