machine SID number problem in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I am having a problem with the galciv2 beta. I have been playing for the last couple of versions but recently I tried to download it on one computer and put it on a disk and install the latest version on my better computer which isn't hooked up to the internet. Now since I tried this I'm getting an "SID number" error and I can't run the game at all.
