It's an interesting idea, actually: a colony ship that can destroy competing colony ships. I mean, armor is useless, but 1 point of attack would it kill anything without armament: early AI scouts, constructors, etc. Although... probably still better to put that extra engine on it but then you're just

is there a way I can edit this or something?
right but will we be able to change how the races relate to each other? currently, I don't believe there is a way to make the drengin hate the yor if I play as the humans. I think it would be interesting to add some feuds amongst the AI
hmm, I thought I did that step but I guess not...anyway, everythings a-ok, I've got all the CE items...yay
in a couple recent games, I've been skipping out on farms to avoid the inevitable over-population and the need to build entertainment centers in order to have more tiles to use for factories and research centers. I've also been having trouble maintaining a good income...should I build more farms/entertainment centers, or just more markets, or should I try to balance farms entertainment and markets?
hmm...I don't see anything labeled "special structure," yet I have a collectors edition box...
which specific bonus items will appear in game if I have the collectors edition?
before starting a game I can choose how an AI race relates to me...are there plans to allow the player to choose how AI races relate to one another? also...is there a way to increase how frequently the United Planets meets?
is there a way to increase random events? if I increase anomalies to abundant, does that increase random events? I've noticed for sure that more anomalies are on the map and more morality choices pop up when colonizing planets...but about random events, like a race undergoing a revolution, randomly discovering a tech, etc....
is there a way I can lower how much money all players start with at the beginning of the game? I don't like how the game begins with each race planet-rushing by buying colony ships...logistically it makes sense...each of these races have been prospering for centuries, so you would imagine they have some amount of wealth...I, however, prefer the slower start as seen in civ4 where civs start with little or no money...and this makes sense for civ4 because these civs are coming together to found a c
where do the satellite dishes come from? was that part of the collectors edition?
great posts, I've also been having trouble with my economy on "normal." It felt like I literally started later than my counterparts, because I started with one planet and it seemed like everyone else started with two! I dunno, it was weird. needless to say, I had an awful start and I'm overcoming it now and taking out the strongest race. should my industrial rate/production always be set at 100%? cause I'm still having a hard time making money even after conqueing planets that are pretty much al
it's different, but I don't think it's bad. I just wish there was a little seek bar so you could fastforward/rewind
hmm, I like the idea...I haven't gotten TOO far into the game, but what kind of evil techs are there? can they use slavery to increase production? I dunno, but I definitely think there should be things like that to better differentiate good/bad races and that the united planets should be enable things to counter them, or to enforce them...like a united planets meeting could meet t stop/enact galactic slavery kinda like how the UN in civ4 can do that kind of stuff
but what if I have advanced spy level, and I'm fairly technologically advanced...why then should I fund espionage? will my spies sabotage anything? assassinate a leader? drop approval rating to insane lows and cause a revolt?
Interesting...I'm curious to hear more from people who are in favor of using armor also, forget I said "early game" lets talk about small, medium, and large hulls...what are y'alls strategies for arming them?
why are troop transports permanently used up after a successful invasion?
I think moo2 and galciv2 have a lot in common, which I don't think is a bad thing. I think adding leaders would be a good idea, it would add a bit more variation to the game
what are y'alls early game strategies for equipping ships? Do you outfit them with nothing but weapons, or do you try to have a balance of weapons/armor? I'm playing on sub-normal, or something, and the PC is usually doing all weapons, they'll rarely have 1 armor but it happens. I usually try to balance my ships. I can't figure out which strat might be best for outfitting my ships. Like for instance, should I go for 4 attack, or 2 attack and 2 defense? I dunno...but it seems like armor might be
Is there any point to funding espionage after your espionage level is "advanced"? will funding espionage undermine a leaders approval rating, and possibly cause a civil war or something?
I'd like to be notified of when a race goes to war, with who, and who initiated the war I'd also like an option for closed borders, I don't know if you can research this later cause I haven't gotten through the entire tech tree yet. closed borders would be nice, with the exception of freighters...but I'd also like to see a trade treaty be seperate too. so you could have closed borders, but allow for freighters to enter (if you chose). I'd also like for more descriptive exp
I added this onto a post above a few hours after creating it, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't overlooked: "I'd like to be able to double click on the name of a game to save/load it from the save/load menu I think you should be able to tell how many turns it will take for a unit to get to a location, and to see how many turns left until they arrive" I thought of a couple more things too...I also think you should be able to intimidate other races, demand they g
I haven't read a single post here, but a couple things I would like to see... a keyboard shortcut for rotating the camera, maybe the left/right arrow keys and the down arrow could reset the camera to default position? or A and D and then S could reset the camera to the default position? I'd like to be able to double click on the name of a game to save/load it from the save/load menu I think you should be able to tell how many turns it will take for a unit to get
wow that program works sexcellently! looks really nice and no performance drop! I hope the devs take a look at this program for emulating textures! btw, which features should I be emulating for good textures and maybe lighting too? right now I'm emulating everything and I don't really know that they're doing...
ok, I read through the manual and answered most of my questions, however one still evades me... so when I have a colony that has a bonus, say 100% to farming, does that increase all of my farming production from that planet, or does it increase my farming on that one tile if I place a farm on it? which brings me to my next question...do I need to place a farm on the bonus tile or does it not matter? also, is there a shortcut on the keyboard to rotate the camera? I can
