I am deep in a TA 1.99rc game. A colony arrives, I land and get ready to apply my planetery build govenor. Suddenly, before I can do that, the game "moves on" and gives me other news reports, survey results, etc. It seems like the game is not put on "hold" while you are in the planet details screen. This is very annoying. You then have to remember where u were and go back to that planet and try to apply a govenor from the planet detail again. Anyone else having that issue?
Lucasarts, in the name of a quick buck, forgot who made them what they are. I bought their first games (I think it was "Eldilon" and "Escape from" something). We padded their pockets with x-wing and tie fighter. Bought their California homes with the Jedi Knight series. Now, it is "too hard". I actually think it is laziness on their part. I was at a Half-Price bookstore the other day and they are still selling new copies of Master of Orion 2 for $10. That is a good game (unlike its poor sequels) and game out years ago. This is an excellent game that I purchased after wasting money ($50) on the last MOO (3?) game that was a disaster. Beta looks great. Only problem I am having is when I create fleets. Screen goes black for a second. Sometimes it returns to the game, sometimes it crashes to desktop. Not sure if it did that before as I never created fleets in Arnor before. Too busy with other stuff .. like COD4 :LOL: :LOL:
It is an excellent expansion. Imagine you have the best toy from last Christmas, say G.I.Joe. Now imagine this Christmas, you just found out you received every accessory, tank, add-on and friends for the orginal GI joe. That is how I feel about TA. To quote the guy on Mad TV .. The first 2 part borg episode. You know, that episode was really ground breaking for ending a season with a cliff hanger. It had been done before (Dallas with the who shot JR episode), been the success of that 2 parter caused the abundance of cliffhanger endings we see today.
