I found a counter overflow on the Economic report of the Domestic Policy window. Sent a jpg showing the problem to gc2bugs.

Can't scroll down in the quarterly reports.When you meet an alien the relations screen always missis one empire, untill you tab back.

I am getting random crashes to desktop..
it dont happen much ill have to pay mroe attentino to when it happens...

Im running XP 64bit its probally not gonna be supported by this game.. but it works anyway

I have problem with my french keyboard. This problem appears with hot keys and when naming a savegame: all letters (a to z and A to Z) are correctly identified, but the others are based on an US keyboard with one nitpick: no key for - and _ .

This would be very annoying for shipping the game in countries that don't use a standard US keyboard.

Major, Major report here.

Tested using a custom race.

Start a game, Open up either a planet screen or the ship designer screen. Now press escape and click main menu, The screen you were just at will be superimposed on the main menu, And when you click cancel you will be back in the game with the main menu music playing (And possibally the menu still going on in the background).

Not tested with research screen yet.

Create a custom race, And make the ship colourings unique.
Click on a ship in the game and note its icon.

Now start a new game (without quitting), Edit the custom race and create a contrasting ship colouring.

Now click on the icon and it should look as it was in the previous game!

Yet another bug.

Get a constructor, Build a base (tested as a millitary res. mining base) and send another constructor, Wait for it to ask for an upgrade and click cancel.

Then you should see two (2) starbases in one parsec/square/tile.

This time it is all about rally points.

Using the set rally point button (just over the population meter), Click it, And then assuming you dont click on the playing area, You will have the set rally point cursor for now on.

I noticed that the comment for medium level espionage includes "And useing human agents within their governments."

It shouldbe too easy to create a tag for your race (I.E /r) as to replace human with whatever race you are playing at that moment!

Quite often in the diplomacy screen instead of the name of my empire they say stuff like "[YourEmpireName]"

When sending multiple constructors to a resource, when the first one gets there and builds the starbase, the others all drop out of autopilot. I'd rather see them continue to the new starbase.

Is Xeno farming supposed to replace the basic farm with the xeno farm? Is a research academy supposed to replace the research lab? They don't. They're new buildings, not upgrades.

1)Wtih above:they are upgrades so they do! In GC2 Newer Bulidings of the same "zone" will render previous models Obselte and will repalce them with better stuff so it is corect!

2)would like to report how unreasltic and bad the planetary invansion engine is I mean accordin to the game: it was 1vs1 advantage and i had 100000 colonists and the other guy (who was invading) had 100 AND I LOST!!!! common that is retarted! it MUST be fixed!!! and is it going to be fixed (i wrote 2) in other post this is just positve reinforcment!) so it looks a bit better(IE:somthing other than instant Invansion!)

3)S and M Production Times NEED to be reduced a lil (its very unreasltic to produce one stupid fighter) as this B4 i think this are vital to discuss

In the tech tree "Stinger IV" is misspelled as "Singer IV". I'm sure that lobbing Barbara Streisand at a Drengin ship could have awful consequences, but I don't think that's what you meant

So you're agreeing with me that the fact that these buildings DO NOT (in this beta) replace the earlier models is a bug?

I'm not sure what the developers intended. The two more advanced models of the factory I've researched so far DO replace the earlier models. However, they're also more expensive, so a brand new colony that starts to build the Manufacturying Center can take 100 weeks to do so, for example, compared to 8 to 14 weeks for the basic factory.

just before I had a CTD like post #17 (tried CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out of GC2, resulting in "invalid call"), I noticed that the minimap scrolling in a gigantic map is faulty...
When you display the entire map, all areas of influence show nicely. One zoom-increment loses your own empire's color, the second zoom-increment get it back again. All other empires seem to look OK. I was playing the Torians (green)

When you save a game, transfer your flagship through a wormhole which moves you to some other map area outside of your range, then reload to a saved game before the transfer (without exiting the game), you end up still having the knowledge about the surroundings of the wormhole exit point...
Useful with the Torians and their long range scanners, but a bug nevertheless

Had a strange report of the likes "the only ones able to stop the arceans are the arceans" not exact wording but you get the idea.

Aah, So the Arceans hate the Arceans? Maybe this is the new Civil War feature we have not heard about untill I made wild speculation

Ctrl + N (New Map, New Game) causes crashes on 50% of my huge map games and invariabally crashes the gigantic games.

Ship design process:

Red dots on many of the hull types appear to be out of position, as in not aligned with center of hull, or asymetrical. Some are "buried" within the hull on one side, but prominent on the opposite side. Some are completely hidden (Yor Collective small "catamarine" hull is a prime example).

For me the game generates a win XP "Send Error Report" if I attempt to start the game normally. Starting the game through the config tool works 100%.

I have this same problem Rogerano, exact same, do you also get a random crash or freeze during gameplay navigation latter on in the game (around when races just start to get aggressive)?

I cant hardly play any longer crashing and freeze so often going back to autosaves only to hit the same things a few turns later or sooner....

Interesting, Rogerano check to see if the game with start with the galciv2.exe in explorer (the folder rather then the start menu shortcut) it works that way for me without having to use the CGconfig way to start.

Integer overflow on planet influence?

I've converted all AI planets through my overwhelming cultural influence except one. I'm not sure that one is ever going to convert since its influence is shown as (when I select the planet): 13 ip (5061...) instead of the usual figure between 0 and 4.

... it did eventually convert.

When I conquer a civilizations last planet with culture nothing is shown to tell me that the race is no more.
