Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Eugh, how easily the sheep are swayed... You know, maybe Bush should have made a touching video before the invasion of Iraq, then it would have been much better received.

Look up "Kony 2012." Tell me what you think.

The former NRA, who Kony is fighting, has used landmines against civilian targets, recruited kids and took power through military means... which was also done by the guys before them and the guys before them.

Anyone feel that Uganda is pretty much a pool of primitive violence?

Seriously, they've been ruled by one guy since the 80s. So if you went in there with the full backing of the UN (sans the restrictions on using force) and told them that they're going to become democratic, would even the current regime want to play nice?

Keep in mind that I expect nothing from the UN or NATO. I'm sure the Hutu can give anyone a harsh lesson in history.

I have far too much to say about what's wrong with this campaign. I've already expressed my criticism of the fact that going after war criminals is suddenly a legit idea, just like the public tells us Iraq and Afghanistan weren't. The video which sparked it all is conservative on fact and devoted to emotional blackmail. The plan is flawed. Want to help the kids? Give the power to the Ugandan Army to march into neighbouring countries and see how many young corpses we end up with.

In the words of a Ugandan man my family knew in Germany, "the problem with Africa is that it is run by Africans." Though open to misinterpretation, it does get the point across. I don't think Kony's tree is the real issue, let's take a look at the orchard.

I have no problems with going after war criminals, but there does tend to be a bias in who we think is worth it or not that is severely off kilter.

That being said, if a peoples constantly run themselves aground and, on their own, perpetuates poverty and violence, I see no reason to expend myself trying to save them. I am all for distributing golden rice and subduing tyrants, but feeding someone who can not fish and holding hands through decades of supposed nation building, knowing full well the ill intentions of politicians, is not a viable option and I would rather see humanity sink by its very own hand than swim by the persuasion of another.

Now my entire school knows that I'm a sickening totalitarian Kony-sympathiser thank to the wonders of Facebook. They can literally see the innocent children dying in my eyes. That is, if my eyes weren't cold and unsympathetic Putin eyes.

I don't sympathize with Kony, but I don't sympathize with Museveni either. And yes, you should be careful what you release via any means if you feel it may work against you. As for Putin, he has his own skeletons, some bigger than others. He's not Kony, no argument, but he's not some idealized Jesus figure either.
