Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

If it's him saying that line, I wasn't thinking of him. I'm sure the phrase has been around for some time now.

Btw, was looking at it. like the TEC flagship. Hope you gave the other flagships lore names. I think Thenos' ship should be the flagship name. Dunno who for the Vasari.

Well, since the Vasari flagship was done by Siv for his own lore, I think the honors should go to him to name it.

I did. I may change them later. Except the TEC. Will work it into the lore later as to why.

Cause it's your ship?

And I agree with Stant on SivCorp, assuming we use his model, which I like, but I can see the 'remove egg' argument.

agreed

the egg thingy is a bit much

And I just might do that.

That's why I think it's better to make a fictionnal game/movie about war if you want to make a war movie rather than taking WWII and not telling more about it, why you fight, what's happening at that time and why you have to kill thousands Nazis. I don't like games/movies who describe Nazis as bad point ! okay, they're bad but why? I mean, unless the game start telling why all that is happening, even partially, I don't think it's interesting ! Rather play Starcraft or C&C where the story will be at least imaginative and complete. While I know WWII as amazingly huge (hi)story but limiting it to what it is in games... come on !

I would agree with this if you were talking about an RTS game. In that case, your scope matches the information given. But if you're playing a FPS, you have to look at it from the everyman's point of view. How many people know all the ins and outs of these events? America not only had little idea what all was going on with the concentration camps, but many Americans didn't care about that either. For many, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the Nazis are backing the Japs and that's why we're there. For FPS games, I prefer those that get deep into the unit's/individual's lives and tell you why that particular person or people are there. I felt that Brothers in Arms did a really good job of letting you know how the guys in the field felt and the shit they went through (within reason, of course). So that's my take on it.

Besides, if it gets even one kid to look further into the matter, it's a good start.

I guess you're right on that point   WWII is just an amazing subject with so much information from any kind of sources... That's why reducing it to it's simpliest expression makes me a bit a mad.
