Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Clearly you guys missed the [Fun]  [/Fun] tags.  XD  Apparently those are supposed to make everything okay.  I had to mute my mic every time I thought of something else to say and started laughing so Ryat wouldn't ask me what I was doing and try to convince me not to do it.

Well, the guy brought it up again. I was hoping my warning might convince Stant to leave it be. But... well, I don't blame him.

Hey Draakjacht, I'm pleased to know that you are Jewish =)

My wife and so a big part of her family are jewish and I've learned so much about Jewish culture that I'm always honnored to be among them.

Also I've seen all the horrible stuff about WW II and seen the camps... It's really chocking, I got out of there and wasn't the same ever again... So much that I wonder why there's so much games about WW II where everything is taken so lightly.

Anyway, to come back to the fun stuff, my wife has talked to me about Hannoukah Harry (I'm sure you know him) but for those who don't, he's simply a fun invention of jewish people who wants to have their own Santa.
Except it's just for fun, I cannot find a picture, but he's wearing blue cloth.

This year for Hannoukah, everybody had fun because for a change they started to make, again for fun, their own Hannoukah Tree !
With the star of David at the top and decored with plenty of Jewish Symbols like Menorah, dreidel, ...

As for Dodge Ball, I was the same as you ! Except I hated it
I don't have your speed demon skills ! XD It makes me remember that fabulous movie...

At least you appreciate the game enough to enjoy the movie.

Yeah, as a gag, I've known people to do the Hannuakh Bush. Not as gradiose as a tree, but not as bad if it sets fire.

As for WWII games, I don't mind them at all for a few reasons. First, they're about the war, not the genocide that took place alongside it. Sometimes it's hard for people to separate the two, but they were fairly distinct events. Second, many WWII games actually aim for a sense of realism, both being scary and humbling. Especially the works which Steven Spielberg contributed to. Keep in mind that he did a WWII movie and a Holocaust movie as separate pieces for a reason. They are very different stories. In any case, with one of the greatest generations slowly passing into obscurity, I think it's nice to have some well done reminders of what those guys went through. I'm sure I could talk a lot more about the subject, but I'll digress for now.

The movie made me laugh a lot, especially when they explained how it all started when they threw heads of the poeple they just beheaded ! lol

The Hannukah Tree was just grand ! lol We put a lot of effort in it to make it look cool with all kind of stuff ! We were ready for Hannukah Harry ! LOOL

We didn't any problem with fire luckily ! But I admit we thought about puting the Menorah on the tree and lighting it up... It was just an idea too dangerous at my taste ! lol

Steven Spielberg did an amazing job, but he's jewish too, so it's understandable.

I mind movies and games poorly made because in the end, you don't even remember what Nazis are and why all that happened. It's just missing too much of history ! Okay, there's the battle and all, but you just don't see why you fight ! You just go along with poeple being killed on both side and finally the good ones win (YEAAAAH !!!!)

That's why I think it's better to make a fictionnal game/movie about war if you want to make a war movie rather than taking WWII and not telling more about it, why you fight, what's happening at that time and why you have to kill thousands Nazis. I don't like games/movies who describe Nazis as bad point ! okay, they're bad but why? I mean, unless the game start telling why all that is happening, even partially, I don't think it's interesting ! Rather play Starcraft or C&C where the story will be at least imaginative and complete. While I know WWII as amazingly huge (hi)story but limiting it to what it is in games... come on !

I would agree with this if you were talking about an RTS game. In that case, your scope matches the information given. But if you're playing a FPS, you have to look at it from the everyman's point of view. How many people know all the ins and outs of these events? America not only had little idea what all was going on with the concentration camps, but many Americans didn't care about that either. For many, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the Nazis are backing the Japs and that's why we're there. For FPS games, I prefer those that get deep into the unit's/individual's lives and tell you why that particular person or people are there. I felt that Brothers in Arms did a really good job of letting you know how the guys in the field felt and the shit they went through (within reason, of course). So that's my take on it.

Besides, if it gets even one kid to look further into the matter, it's a good start.
