You're Banned!: The Forum Game
Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?

Banned for being nervous.
Banned because I just feel like banning someone for no other reason then banning them.
Banned because you could have banned Draak for sweeping generalizations about gender. The parent-frakker deserves it.
banned for frakking things
banned for I have never hydraulically frakked any parents.
Banned because I still laugh when I read or hear that extraction jargon. Although the actual projects aren't all that funny, and apparently there's far less gas in them thar hills than the Energy Department thought when they started touting those reserves.
banned for it's not that the engineers really expected much out of it. It's a fad within the energy biz right now and people are just buying in. Doesn't help either that the current administration thinks natural gas is a renewable resource. Frakking is not terribly dangerous, but, like most things, you have to do it right and some subcontractors prefer to go cheap.
banned for not wanting it cheap
banned for shale plays will not make it cheap. Again, it's a fad with no real redeeming value.
Banned because I was typing about the interesting bureaucratic interaction that follows from the 'fad.'
The DoE were in booster mode, touting a massive volume of economically viable gas in the eastern US shale formation, but the USGS finally got around to checking the numbers. The estimate dropped from 410 trillion cubic feet to 84 trillion cubic feet.
Banned because that's a gas, man.
banned for that was just a response to Ryat.
And yes, it's a gas, but its volume is measured under certain standards of pressure and temperature.
Banned for three dots and a question mark.
Banned for an asterisk in parentheses.
Banned for who with the what now?
Banned because you haven't broken ban 'etiquette' in a while to report on your tape-digitizing project. Reads like you've maybe picked up some antique slang.
Banned because I get that, but one of my nerdiest traits is a fascination with bureaucratic processes and how they affect public policy. Plus, I'm trying to make that story stick in my head so I can bring it up for my students when we hit the bureaucracy chapter towards the end of the term. It's a classic example of how the lack of methodical design in the fed agencies serves as a check on government power by creating opportunities for competition and conflict.
Banned for having nerdy traits.
Banned for showing us your butthole... Didn't know tubed and skull capped brain creatures had those...
Banned for the old pot-kettle-common-color thing. You with "Mod Support" written in your forum pic...
Banned because I think we're all nerds here.
Banned for IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!!!
Banned for SHOUTING and then crying about it.
Banned because speaking of my tape-digitization project, I just ran into my first disco song.
Banned because you shouldn't barf at all disco just because you had a bad experience with some disco. That's genre profiling--it violates the civil liberties of genre practitioners and inefficiently limits your potential enjoyment of music.
banned for genre desegregation
banned for starting a page.
I dunno. What if the basic principles of what makes a song fit within a genre irks you? For example, the definitive beat pattern of reggae music disagrees with me. Should I bother to listen to every song just to find an exception or just call it quits after a prescribed quantity?
