"You can be at ease only with those people to whom you can say any damn fool thing that comes into your head, knowing they will respond in kind, and knowing that any misunderstandings will be thrashed out right now, rather than buried deep and given a chance to fester."

For those Blackadder fans

Witchhunter: The suspect has his head placed upon a block, and an axe aimed at his neck. If the man is guilty, the axe will bounce off his neck -- so we burn him. If the man is not guilty, the axe will simply slice his head off.

Cpt. Blackadder: You see, Baldrick, in order to prevent a war in Europe, two super blocs developed: us, the French and the Russians on one side, and the Germans and Austro-Hungary on the other. The idea was to have two vast, opposing armies, each acting as the other's deterrent. That way, there could never be a war.

Baldrick: Except, well, this is sort of a war, isn't it?

Blackadder: That's right, there was one tiny flaw in the plan.

George: Oh, what was that?

Blackadder: It was bollocks.

I guess this might be a little known quote but here it goes

"Your all going to die down here" The Red Queen says in the first Resident Evil movie when the comando team shuts her down and inadvertently unlocks the doors she was guarding and releases hundreds of zombies and some type of mutated creature. Pretty good movie, all in all.

-Franklin Delanor Roosevelt(correct me if Im wrong)

I'm not familiar with the acronym 'FDR', but I do know that the schizophrenic from 'Batman Begins' said this.

Either I don't know what you mean, or that's a rather strange thing to say.

I watched that film:D . They could have improved the way the zombies move when hit with bullets, particularly when the special ops woman somehow throws a zombie into the air with bullets.

Slight correction, Thomas: Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  (His wife was Eleanor Roosevelt, which may have thrown you off.)

So it would cut itself, of course.

If necessary, I'll add a quote later, but I don't have one at the moment, and a number of the ones I'd choose off the top of my head have already been posted.

I just happen to be British. Don't start flaming us though, as whatever image you got of us is just a stereotype. I agree, rave music is total trash, and I associate more with the USA and it's values. Go Obama!

That was funny. And the way that woman watching them cackles is a riot.

And now for the quote:

I noticed.  It's why you're partially excused, in fact, but not entirely.

I still think your education system is a sham if you weren't introduced to FDR via your history classes at one point in time, although perhaps for some reason he simply wasn't memorable enough.

I am however not flaming at all.  As I've stated, there are a number of problems with our education system as well.
