Need a new forum category - Forum bugs

from Stardock Forums

As the title says I think we need a specific category just for forum bugs. There certainly do seem to be enough of them to warrant their own category.

My apologies to the web team but "if the shoe fits"...

Anyway the code writing pigeon’s thing was funny the first 1,000 times I saw it. Now it's just getting old.

Also for some obscure reason I have to post this from forums.stardock.com because I can neither post or reply to a thread from forums.galciv2.com.

So what's up with that?

Perhaps I complained too quickly because it's working fine now. However for at least 15 minutes it definitely wasn't.

Plus the pigeon thing *is* getting pretty old, could we try something else for a change? While the best thing would of course to get none, a 404 error is normal and not unexpected and focuses annoyance more towards your browser instead of the site. At least you can't be accused of being too cute defaulting to that.

There was some (hardware) server maintenance going on today, so that's probably what caused the temporary issue.

Hopefully an entire category for forum bugs wont be necessary...  :p  But there do seem to be some chronic problems, as well new ones regularly popping up.

Any idea if medals will show up for people using IE any time soon?

If JoeUser (another - oh hells, the kewlest - in the Stardock suite of sites) didn't hate cut and paste with Firefox, I'd say the good boys of SD are trying to migrate you to a different browser. ;)

I'd think the same since I did indeed start using FF3 to come here. Just would seem like with the SD guys working with MS and Windows enhancements/utilities that IE would be well supported here.

You can always post at the Wincustomize Site Issue forum.  The engine is the same and the same devs support the sites.

Make sure to post the URL that you are having trouble with, what you were trying to do, and what browser you were doing it with.
