The unfortunate thing about this
Is most aren’t aware.
They don’t have their bullshit filters
Armed and activated.
So he gets away with filling their heads
With unadulterated crap.

Sometimes I wish
I could pull on his charm
And flush the shit away.
But this is merely a whimsy
As his audience is now very large
And too many would question their own validity

Oh, so do I, mate.  It is directed at politicians, sporting 'stars' and celebrities who think they are so clever as to fool all the public all the time and those who think they're above the rest of us when it comes to the law, for instance.

NB: the qualifying 'he' in this piece is only for the sake of writing.  This also applies to female politicians etc.

It's bad enough when someone bullshits but it really sucks when they're a bad bullshitter.  Because you can't bullshit a bullshitter.

 

Another thing I hate is when some celebrity or famous person messes up and they have some spokesman doing their talking for them or they get up and read some prepared statement. Bitch, just tell us the damn truth. You f**ked up so just tell us you did. If they got in front of the media and said," Sorry, I f**ked up" I bet people would forgive them a lot faster.

You have hit the nail right on the head.  I am so tired of this sort of behaviour.  I say own up, 'fess up and take frackin' responsibility for your own actions.  They're so out of touch they think we can't see through this crap. 

For the most part, these sorts of people are mediocre at best so I suppose it shouldn't surprise me they act this way.
