Well, the most obvious point would be that even on a 21 week game, it's a bitch to win an election with no campaign HQs, i.e. getting by on only fundraising.

But if you were to A) add me on Yahoo/MSN/AIM and more importantly tell me what you're doing, I can help you figure out what you're doing wrong.

It's also relevant that as it stands, the VP's primary function is to provide you with an extra hunk of cash in the middle of the game.  Although I rarely need it, having an extra million or three at a strategically important moment does help.

It's also worth noting that the AI loves LOVES LOVES going after the endorsements, but you don't need any of them to win if you play your cards right.  However, on the lower/lowest difficulties, the AI doesn't do agents or endorsements, so you can grab them all with a single 7 clout building (third tier).  Might need two 7 clout buildings if you're doing a 41 week game-might need 3 if doing a 21 week game.

EDIT: Update.  Won with 79.9% of the popular vote.  (201,465,000 to 50,690,000)

Ugh.  Lots of room for improvement there.

On the other hand-won Texas as Democrat with 90% of the vote.

So I'm thinking I might try this on the higher difficulty levels-TPM08 goes up to Maso, doesn't it?  That should be enough.  I think I can still win >70% popular vote up there, but I guess we'll see, won't we?

The score would be much, much, much higher though. 

I haven't given up on 100% popular vote, but it's going to require a somewhat different strategy than the one I'm currently using, so it's backburnered for a few days.

Also, for what it's worth, why has no one posted in this thread all "day"?

I find it interesting how you haven't disputed how my game of 79.9% popular vote was possible, nor my strategy for >70% popular vote on Maso.

I assume you dropped the opponents awareness to 5% in each state, and maxed yours as much as possible.  I cant think of anything else off-hand, because I havent played it for a while, so I'll have to fire it up and see what I can come up with.

I had >90% of the vote in California and my opponent had >90% awareness there.

I had ~90% of the vote in TEXAS (as a Democrat), and my opponent had 18% awareness there.

I started out trying to keep my opponent's awareness down, but it got hard near the end.  I may wind up playing a game of less length.

I spent 3600 political capital in that game, and $123 million...and I was done spending by the time it was 2/3 of the way through.

hope you feel better soon seth. you're probably too young for a hot toddy, but they're great for sore throats (black tea, honey, lemon and whiskey or some other liquor). garggling with salt water's also good... i guess. for your nose, take hot showers and try to keep the water on your face (sinuses) as much as you can, it'll help clear the gunk out.

Aye, a washcloth under hot water and applied to the face works wonders too for sinus pain.

Sore throat...hot teas (no milk!!!!) or my personal hot apple cider will help weather them.  Nose+throat though...sinuses draining...I normally head right to Dayquil at that point and also prepare for plenty of coughing due to draining into your lungs...enter an experterant (mmm guaifisten) to loosen that stuff up and cough it out.  Yeah, I get this crap every year and got my lineup memorized lol.

Or you can quit standing around picking your nose.

Sounds like you are doing quite well there Kzintikalralahr!   There isnt a lot of roleplaying on this site though.  It's main purpose is to give GC2 players a place to gather and interact.  Emperor_Seth here is one of the few people who does engage in roleplaying on a regular basis.  Do you have much experience with GC2?

Low in number, yeah right. Also we thank you for the comment, our species has evolve for combat if we were to survive the dense, beast filled jungles of our homeworld.

We  also belive that war is the natural state of the galaxy and that the only goverments that should exsist are monarchy, patriarchy and dictatorship. However it is empires like the United Confederation of Planets who breaks these sacred belifs and that is why they're losing.

As general info, 9.5 Trillion citizens will get you a 134K Society Score in a 12 year game. I am currently trying to finish up sooner, so I do not know if I will be able to reach my goal of 10 Trillion.

;3 I just took out a major shipyards complex of the humans over an F class world. Weeeeeeee, then withdrew as there massive fleet gatherd to guard its reconstruction. Little did they know this was all a clever trap to get them all in one area where an armada of Kill Bot deploying carriers would then send in there killbots two AU away. Which then took out half of there total forces. Damn i am evil even with simple shit at my disposal.

Well, with my battled and conquests elsewhere i had little fleets to spare. THe sergils attacked the Collective, and the collective somehow blew up the world destroying an entire Sergil fleet. At the cost of a useable starsystem. >.=.> Idiot russians. Anyhow with both sides suffering so badly i had to scream and leap with the two fleets in the area. THe test weapon ships, seven in all. Six KIll Vehical carriers, and a huge ass rail gun ship bigger then a battleship. It was simply a playing field levelier if i was to attack the source of half of there current production. ;D It was no means a cowerd attack, it was revenge for my defeat at the third battle of midway. Well it wasent really a defeat, i black and blued the CORE preaty bad before i tacticaly withdrew. But now we evens. >:3 ?!

Now Lord of Ebils, i have your mod, and the game, but i can not find out how to use yer awsome mod. D: !

Addtionally when i got the sites updates to the store sold disc, um. Thanks website, you (*&^ed me. It wont accept my serial number to activate the updates. Errors itself each time. That just pisses me off. I only got to play it once and now i cant anymore. What the bloody hell. Why does the world make thingsincreasingly diffacult and retarded. >;O I bought the game and there forcing me to again submit the serial and there not even accepting it.
