Kzinti Empire - offical empire thread

You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

"Kzinti flesh has a very strong and pungent taste. The weak among us are devoured by their litter-mates within a few moons of birthing. Only the swiftest and most ferocious of us survive to their first naming-day. Those not fit to survive will never live to perpetuate their inferior bloodlines. This is the natural law of the galaxy." - Kzinti Warrior

kzin6

"The meaning of life is the hot blood of your prey on your tongue, the meat that rends beneath your teeth, the corpse of your enemy left in the sun for the carrion eaters to finish, your defeated foe groveling in submission before you. That is what life is. We are the Kzinti, and we stronger, swifter, wiser, and more ferocious than any other race ever was or will be." - Kzinti philosopher

I like the second logo Seth, because that's the one I use for the empire on the Metaverse, and in the game itself.

Yikes...100 spies! How much did it cost to get 1 spy at that point? Yep, I dont think passive spies can be countered. Not sure what my opinion is about that.

BOOM reply necromancy at it's finest!

Just completed my first 2.0 beta run as the Alterians.  They were my control test and I got no anomolies, so espionage skill stayed at 0%.  My 100th spy cost me 11,962 bc, overall costs of 100 spies was 561,053.  These numbers are very not nailed down since 1% clicks of my income gives for a huge sway in bc most of that time.  In the end I was POCKETING 8k a week even after the 20k treasury hit.  During the econ event I was pocketing 24k lol.

Passive spies cannot be countered, but it doesn't matter IMHO since tech stealing is still done via planetary spies...so you still have a defense there.  In the many many years that I had passive spies on the 2 AI's in the game, not 1 tech was stolen.  Also, any passive spies that are on a race that gets destroyed are lost, unlike their active cousins which get refunded.

Thanks for the info Loup!

Okay and also I got Spore, I made a Geckodon.

Also I'm gonn continue to post in Harbone's thread just cause it's a great place for roleplay.

That looks pretty good Seth. :)  How difficult was it to "evolve" your creature to look like a Geckodon?  I think I'll be picking up the game pretty soon.

I understand your decision, even though I think that keeping your distance would be better.  Have you thought about creating a new roleplaying thread?  Also you may have seen that Seeker admitted to having multiple fake accounts too, though he never posted a game to the Metaverse, so it's not quite the same thing as Harbone.  Seeker has also voluntarily withdrawn his characters from the Empire.

With that armor, I'd only assume it's big attack is either a swan dive or a bear hug.

Three new predators stalk the worlds of the galaxy...  Welcome to the Kzinti Empire, Gavin Rey, psizombiezealot, and Thegrinner! Also, we've seen many new conquests from some grizzled old warlords who had been out of the fray for a while, including the Heroes TorontoRock, Gallagher, and Cumberberg.  Welcome back to the MV!   Our mighty domain will soon encompass 26 million light years as warriors new and old continue to win glory for the empire!

And dont forget, "Flawless victory!"   The announcer's quotes from that game have become iconic. Not that I ever saw a flawless though.  The button-mashing games were never my forte.

Looks more evil

I wouldnt say evil, but maybe more ready & willing to kick someone's butt. :)

I've got a nother Swindle game in the works, this one on a huge/common-habitable planets galaxy.  It should score somewhere a bit above 500k. :D

I'd say to include GSC.  Not all the characters in that empire were his, so don't you think some of the other members would like to see their empire's ships in the mod?  Don't punish the many at the cost of one.

I think I should. Also I was wondering what to do for minor races, I was thinking about having them be completely made up. What do you guys think?

you should name that after SD devs and mods. Formis already has race picks inspired by Brad, Cari and Kryo (as i'm guessing you know).

How about the names of the next, however many, empires on the MV that didn't make it as a major race?

HA even better, the minor races should be named after the normal game majors LOL.

I'll do 5 based on real MV empires, the Stardockian Empire, the Colonial Fleet, the Paradox and BC Space Orcas.

And 3 completely made up (by me): Geckodon Democratic Reblleon, Kuzaki Empire and Empire of the Blackhole.

Now I know some of you must be thinking, what about the Dread Lords and Pirates. Well, the Dread Lords will be replaced by the FFU and the Raiders will replace the pirates. now if any of you have questons about the three, feel free to ask.

I'd like to to contribute to that Seth.  Maybe some races from the Kzinti stories/novels, and it would be fun to create some completely new ones. :)

Quick alt-meta question here concerning the different categories (Universal, galactic, solar and mil vs. civ). As far as I remember, the mil categories only have scores from conquest victories. Universal all is all your scores regardless of type. I thought the Civ category was all wins that weren't conquest (research, diplomatic, cultural or ascension). I posted a research victory in an immense galaxy however and it doesn't appear to be showing up in the Universal Civ category. Am I missing something? Just wondering cause I was thinking of trying to get into the top-10 in all six categories. Thx for any help :)

Kryo I believe just added the alt-meta to read Immense games a week or so ago.  I think they are currently going under the Universal All category.

EDIT: Yes, I just searched for "Vesuvius" on the A/M and your Immense Research on Maso that you submitted on Oct 2nd is listed under the Universal All menu

2nd Edit:

Tiny, Small, and Medium go under Solar

Large, Huge go under Galactic

Gigantic, Immense go under Universal

Thx for the quick reply. I seems that I remembered the size categories correctly, just wanted to confirm two things. The [CIV] categories contain all scores other than conquest victories correct? Also:

Kryo I believe just added the alt-meta to read Immense games a week or so ago.  I think they are currently going under the Universal All category.

This means that any immense Galaxy score goes into Universal [ALL] category, regardless of victory type. So if I wanted to start scoreing in the Universal  [CIV] category, I'd have to play gigantic or huge galaxies and score non-conquest victories correct?

Once again thx for the help.
