You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

congratulations to the Kzinti Empire for achieving over 2000 replies in this thread.  The Kzinti may have their naysayers, but they are definitely an active force on the forums, and the Metaverse- obviously, this must be attributed to the charisma and dedication of its leader KP.

Considering this thread was started less than a year ago (mid-November 07), it has been one of the most active threads on the forums.  As of today, the Kzinti empire has over 140 members who have been active on the forums....and I'm sure there are a few I missed somewhere too. ;)

I was actually too distracted by things at work to notice my post was the 2000th, hehe.

while mine would be, in true Democrat form: Vote for me, so I can create a government agency that you won't be able to live without that spends all your money to give you a service that you would have gotten for cheaper or free before.

in truth, i'd probably catergorize myself closest to a Hamiltonian ideology (he's not my avatar for nothing) which does share some values with the Republican thought; but there are some key differences.  The power of judicial review was enshrined by the Federalists (vs the Republican strict reading), belief and support of individual liberty (civil rights), and a sound fiscal policy (which both parties lack); so I suppose one could say I am a Social Liberal but Fiscal Conservative- broad terms, and not entirely accurate but when its all been muddied over the last few generations, no one really knows what either party stands for anymore

Sound's pretty close to a Libertarian. :(O   I pretty much agree with your sentiments.  I can't be an actual Libertarian, because they don't believe in the use of Military force for political means:rolleyes: which kind of doesn't work when you are an Officer in the Army National Guard and work for a defense contractor.  Not to mention a member of the Kzinti Empire. 

Anyway, I think both parties have lost their way.  Its all about getting reelected and raking in special interest money.  I'd vote for Ross Perot or Jesse Ventura any day.

What we really need is Joe Workingclass to run for president.  Ok, so you won $300 mil in Powerball..guess what you should do w/ that money?

You know he hasn't made tons of friends in the current government through his time out of school, so he'll come into the presidancy with a clean slate.  Foreign affairs...not all presidents started office with a background of ANY foreign affairs.

The only things I value in a presidential nominee is the ability to think with a clear head about things.  Also be able to think on his/her feet, not just deliver pretty prepaired speaches.

Aknowledge that past presidents have stepped on people's toes, meet those people and say 'hey, I understand president so-and-so let you down and in the cold, or bombed yor family...etc, but I'm not him, the people of the USA aren't him nor are they his cabinet'.  Lets try and realize that hating a democracy for it's past heads of state shouldn't condem the entire nation to your revenge.  Instead of running some planes into buildings for being pissed for something the government did to you or your family...just go after the dick who pissed you off, leave the rest of us out of it.  We, the citizens of the USA do not share the views of our goverment all the time.

In closing, I'm not a registered voter.  I have yet since I've been 18 (1998), seen a canidate worth voting for.  I refuse to vote for the lesser evil.

@Ragnar:  I'm actually opposed to Libertarians because they believe in extremely limited government power- they are Jeffersonian Democratic-Republicans; I don't mind gov't power as long as its being used judiciously and intelligently. 

 

@Dystopic: no, something I should look into maybe?

 

@Loup: woot, we're almost the same age (i'm just a bit younger).  I'd love for someone actually qualified for the job  (not these careerists and interest group lackies) to run, but since we haven't had that since....FDR? I'm not going to hold my breath. I've thought sometime that if I start now at creating a grassroots campaign, I could always run in the 2020 General Election (i turn 35 in 2017); and i mean, thats more than enough time to create a strong base :-)

that's up to you. he was a 19th century socialist democrat, one of the few reformist leftists. i only ask because you'd said your political ideology was closest to hamilton, and mine's closest to bernstein. then i realized he's not exactly a common household name. his wiki is pretty short, but the wiki on socialist democracy is a good deal better.

Hrm, /cough.

Looks like you've added a #3 medal to your list there KP.  I'm working on a former top 25 myself lol.

BTW, damn that Rock Band game!!!  I don't even own an Xbox 360 to play that game and it's already costed me $30 for a mic and ~$25 in iTunes downloads lol.  My wife picked up Paramore's one albumn and now the latest Lacuna Coil albumn (RAWR on that lead singer btw).  End of this month I'll be dropping a good $60-70 on a GH4 guitar so I can stop bumming off of friends.

Thanks Loup! :)  I believe it replaced my "former #1" medal though.

I played that once (or at least some similar game), manning the drums.  I'm pretty awful at it!  XD   I cant do the foot pedal and the drumsticks at the same time well at all.  And I'm not blowing up or conquering anything, so it doesnt hold my attention nearly as well.
