Kzinti Empire - offical empire thread

You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

"Kzinti flesh has a very strong and pungent taste. The weak among us are devoured by their litter-mates within a few moons of birthing. Only the swiftest and most ferocious of us survive to their first naming-day. Those not fit to survive will never live to perpetuate their inferior bloodlines. This is the natural law of the galaxy." - Kzinti Warrior

kzin6

"The meaning of life is the hot blood of your prey on your tongue, the meat that rends beneath your teeth, the corpse of your enemy left in the sun for the carrion eaters to finish, your defeated foe groveling in submission before you. That is what life is. We are the Kzinti, and we stronger, swifter, wiser, and more ferocious than any other race ever was or will be." - Kzinti philosopher

If your claws can grasp it, then it is rightfully yours. - Kzinti proverb

A salute to all those heroic t'kzintar who have made this empire a resounding success. Our conquests continue and the galaxy will never know peace!

Thanks Snark! :D

And congratulations to all Kzinti, as we surpassed 38 million today!  40 million is not that far away!

*the sound of thunder rumbles in the background*

This is the quiet before the storm. Let us not be lulled into a quiet catnap in the proverbial sunspot of overconfidence. Verily, we must arise and muster our numbers for the ultimate showdown between feline cunning and the shadowy forces of our pursuers. The ToE leviathan is slowly gathering to strike at the fiery heart of the noble Kzinti! We must not underestimate their considerable might, nor be reluctant to charge ahead with our ears back, and our tails fluffed! We can fight from the high ground today, or claw at them from below tomorrow!

That is exactly what they want us to believe, noble read-headed pixie! They have woven their web of deceit with much care and cunning. Those guys could post 5 million points in a week, if they felt so inclined. I am only so alarmed because a certain Master of The Metaverse has quietly reset his score. It may take a while for the first nuke to hit our quiet planet, but it will be a big one when it gets here!

Alternatively, I could just be in a fiesty mood today. Our Design and Construction folks just replaced the consoles in our attack humanitarian aid cruisers, and I can't seem to find the button that controls the torpedoes relief supply shuttles.

We are always alert to what dangers may threaten on the horizon.  Currently our mighty realm is in the 2nd fastest period of growth in its history, surpassed only by October '08!  There are more big victories coming in the near future...  ;)

Now if I could only get a econ boom in my current game, I'll break 1.2 million.

We Snathi understand your frustration alltogether too well. So malevolent are we towards the stinging beasties, that we recently decided to help out or neighbors, the Jessuins, by eliminating every single bee from their homeworld! A slight miscalculation on our part, as it seems the ghastly little creatures are necessary to their food chain. To make up for our minor goofup, we went to great expense to convince our frinds, the Yor, to lend the poor Jessuins a bew billion Terror Drones to act as substitute pollenators. Hehe...err...oops. As GmOOnii correctly observed, the Snathi are terrible typists. Who knew that the Yor words for "pollenate" and "wreak merciless destruction" were so similar?

ROTFLOL - OMG, you're toooooo funny! I'm laughing my ass off, out loud, and my wife is asking me what's so funny. I wish I could explain. Someone else's turn to give Snark some Karma for making his posts so funny.

Y'know KP, I'm not sure if you were around back then, but I miss the good ole days when I first joined these forums (Sept 2006), when people didn't act like they owned it; when trolls were dealt with- not by responding and fueling their rants- but by ignoring them (and reporting them); and you had genuine respect for those select few players that seemed like gods in this game (Mumble, Wyndstar, Purge, Mag).

I can list on one finger how many players I have respect for.  I still like a lot more, but I sadly think that the various forum changes, and unfortunately, the twilight hours of GC2, have eroded away alot of what I used to really enjoy.

I am the Phoenix and the 7 lives together and if i had it my way, eternity wouldn't stand a chance, Silverbeacher.

It's not if a community is or was active but rather how it reinvents itself by adapting to new and challenging conditions - be it resilient or not.

I am still & ever will be the spider with 8 legs & i will reach 800,000 points once in awhile... if the cats want to hunt me down - let them - cuz i can catch even the jaguars that score faster.

Korath death Spores?
End of Loupdinour's quote

Speaking of Korath Death Spores, the Snathi could use some extra good karma these days. Seems like one thing after another. Why just last week, we accidentally started another an intergalactic war. The Altarians, you see, suggested that we should join a therapy group and explore the hidden emotions that cause us to be so clumsy. Since they did this from the business-end of a fleet of giant warships, we had no choice except to eagerly oblige. Of course our ships were all out bumpin planets for free techs, so we availed upon our good friends, the Korath, to help us out with some "KrankheitKruisers", which we honestly thought were their wee scout ships. Of course, after a few nips of Snathi brandy, a spore ship and a scout ship look exactly the same from the inside. No, really. They do. Just imagine our delight embarassment when the Altarians blamed the Korath for us bumpin their largest spiritual retreat! I guess we should have removed those Korath logos.

The Snathi seem quite accident-prone, by which I mean those who know them seem to have a lot of accidents. ;)

I've been on the forums since around July 2007, and I do think the tenor has changed somewhat.  I was just talking to someone over PMs who has been having some troubles on the forums lately, and advising them to just ignore any trollish behavior and move on to more productive and fun things.  I cant say how much the forum "upgrades" themselves actually influence this though.

Not that it matters, but you could be included.  I know I can write down a lot of names on one finger.  Especially if I find someone with a particularly large finger.
