Kzinti Empire - offical empire thread

You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

"Kzinti flesh has a very strong and pungent taste. The weak among us are devoured by their litter-mates within a few moons of birthing. Only the swiftest and most ferocious of us survive to their first naming-day. Those not fit to survive will never live to perpetuate their inferior bloodlines. This is the natural law of the galaxy." - Kzinti Warrior

kzin6

"The meaning of life is the hot blood of your prey on your tongue, the meat that rends beneath your teeth, the corpse of your enemy left in the sun for the carrion eaters to finish, your defeated foe groveling in submission before you. That is what life is. We are the Kzinti, and we stronger, swifter, wiser, and more ferocious than any other race ever was or will be." - Kzinti philosopher

If your claws can grasp it, then it is rightfully yours. - Kzinti proverb

A salute to all those heroic t'kzintar who have made this empire a resounding success. Our conquests continue and the galaxy will never know peace!

I fisnished my latest Swindle, my first giga-abundant:

I had no econ boom, and no other significant positive random events either, not even the population increasing one which seems to happen every game.  With an econ boom, I could have scored well above 1 million.  Next time perhaps. :D

Nice score, KP!

Yeah, getting those econ events can sure help.  I rarely get the pop doubling one though.  Although I did get both in my last mumbler.  Roll those dice, huh?

Thanks Motti! :)  I wonder what the trigger for the pop-growth one might be, or if its completely random.  I've had it in virtually every game that's longer than a ZYW.

Wow, most excellent score KzintiPatriarch and it is done in 7 years. Gosh, I have alot to learn about this game to get those kind of scores.

Great job KP! With the econ event you probably would have broke 1.1 mil at least.

Thanks ClanLindsey & GmOOni. :)  I started another game with the same settings, and have played til the 1st quarter of Year 1.  With some beneficial events I'll break that 1 million barrier

Also, due to budget cuts with the State of Vermont, I'm getting laid-off once more, but I have another job already.  It doesnt start for 4-6 weeks though, so I'll have at least a month between jobs to put in some serious GC2 time. :D

That is a scary prospect considering your output of games while being employed ;) .

Seriously though, I'd love to know your secret, even if I played 24/7 I don't think I could put out half the games you do.

Kudos for not just being a figure head and truly leading your empire by example.

I actually got told I was getting laid-off, and scored the new job, in the same day...that was one of the most unusual days I've  had.   I had applied for the new job way back in Dec, but only heard from them a week ago.

Been here for a while now; think you already welcomed me once.

dystopic is correct, though-the MV is not my primary focus.  (Yeah, that's putting it mildly, I guess.)

In that case, I shall absorb as much of your extensive knowledge as I can and use it to benefit my scores. In a sense, you will be adding to the massive imperial score surplus without having to suffer through the grueling point-grinding process.

I am sad, :(   seth told me to stay out of his Empire Thread or he will ban me because of my orange stupid font. I was trying to be different but I give up, he won and I will never fit in, I will be normal now.  So is this ok for my font.

I do have a question:  Where does Karma come from?  If I give someone Karma do I loose one Karma or is that how it generates from Star Dock and I don't lose one Karma?

If I was an "I told you so" type of person, I'd go back and quote myself when I brought up about the possible cuts down here in PA....but I think that my point has already been made.

Sux ya are shifting gears again, good to hear there is something to fall right into though.

You are always welcome in this thread GmOOnii, and you can use whatever font and color you want, but I must say the new color is much easier to read.  Perhaps something colorful, yet still easy on the eyes? :)

Yep, you are a wise wolf Loup. ;)  I like working at the Vermont Dept of Health a lot, with my only complaint being the low pay.  The new job will pay about 20% more, but it remains to be seen how much I'll like it.  Got my fingers crossed.  I've got one more week left at VDH.

It's not a commodity that will be spent in order to give it, so don't worry about loosing what karma you have if you so desire to give other's karma.

KP, yikes, I never knew (or missed it mentioned in the past) that you were in the DoH.  I know up your way is a bit more liberal than down here, but having an illeagal alien (kzin) in a government position...wow, just...wow.

Hehe, I have a very good disguise. ;)  It was very challenging to make an 8' tall fury predator look like an unassuming 5'6" human.  Kzinti biotech is extremely advanced!

Vermont has actually become a very liberal place.  The current debate in the state legislature is a bill that would allow same-sex marriage, which I support 100%.  There already exists a civil-union law that has been in place for almost a decade.
