Why ca't I get a person when I call the tech support line?

I called tech support during business hours and I cannot get a person all I get is a stupid message saying no one is available to take my call. I called in business hours I have been trying since 9 am to get through to someone and cannot. That is insane it should not take that much work to get a tech support agent to help me.

It's Memorial Day, a national holiday in the US, where Stardock is located. That's probably the reason no one's around today.

Well I don't care if its memorial day they sever more than the US so they should not be closed. They said monday to friday and this is Monday so they should be open. I do not live in the Us so I should not be affected by that.

I am sure you are not the only one who has PM'd frogboy today and I am sure he has other things to take care of. Just because he did not respond ASAP does not mean he didn't get or read your message. Patience is a virtue.

Frogboy - Brad Wardell - is the CEO. He is not support.

The US already has the lowest average number of holidays in the developed world. Stardock tries to give their employees a reasonable number, because often people want to spend time with their families.

Now that is uncalled for saying I am acting like a 12 year old. that is not the case I am just getting tired of paying for games to only have issues with a game and have trouble getting tech support for it. I had nothing but issues with this game since I bought it. Also I was not rude in my PM yet he did not answer it. They are supposed to be there to help people with problems and he was on. He seen my PM and did not respond. Twice he was on he did not answer it and he still has not. I even sent a email to tech support about my issue and they still have not responded. I bet when they do theemail will be all useless stuff. That is normally what the first email is like with any tech support place.

Some countries have what are called public holidays where people don't go to work. For example in Australia we have the Queens Birthday, Anzac Day, Australia Day, Melbourne Cup Day, New Years, Good Friday, the list goes on. At least you don't have to speak to Indians you can barely understand when you do finally get through to support. Judging from your me, me, me attitude and your use of grammar in your most recent post I would have to agree with Feud's sentiments. When you email support you get issued a support ticket and they're processed in the order they're given out. Frogboy shouldn't have to respond on a holiday, the fact he was even on shows his commitment to the game and this forum.
BTW, which if any patch do you have installed and whats the problem you're encountering.

This is absurd, I agree. Frogboy should be personally on call 24-7 to help anyone who ever bought this game, regardless of petty concerns like Memorial Day, being with one's family, or sleeping. He should also come over to my house in Canada and help me with the game -- I'm having a lot of problems against the Korath on Crippling level. I demand it! Any less is unprofessional!

Has it occurred to you that Frogboy gets hundreds of PMs, and maybe he hasn't gotten around to reading yours? He's the CEO of Stardock, and a busy guy. And yes, yesterday was a national holiday in the USA. People don't work on Memorial Day here, deal with it.

In all serious, if you need help make a post in the Bug Reports forum. The developers are great about responding to posts and helping you out. They go to great lengths to make sure their product runs well for everybody; much greater lengths than any developer I've ever seen.

I think we should cancel christmas, so we can get some service ! I mean just to be fair to people living in Ethiopia, who are also playing this game (its a world thing...). So, no more christmas !

Heh, reminds me of when I worked in tech support. US customers were always confused we were open on Thanksgiving (not a holiday here in the UK), yet they'd call up on Dec 26th and ask why we were closed the day before. Needless to say, most were PEBKAC instances

avmf8, your first post was innocent enough. A simple misunderstanding. An appropriate reply might have been "oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware it was a holiday. My mistake." Nobody would have been offended or angry at such a response, and if they were, they would be a fool. From your second post onward, however, you display a considerable amount of selfishness and arrogance. You don't seem to care that people in other countries may have holidays you don't know about, because you and your problems are so important that you transcend such insignificant events such as holidays. As it is, based on your replies, you fully deserve the posts you have been receiving.
