General Homsar's "Whine and Rant" Board!

Need to blow off some steam, but don't think mass genocide of Torians will do the trick?Don't worry, because this is the board for you! Here's my rant: That hundreds of monumentally stupid lawsuits pop up every day, and some even make it to court. For example: Filing HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS against hair salons that charge more for women's hair-cuts.

Annother rant: We've lost our sense of adventure. People are to scared to try any thing new because they're scared they might get hurt or won't like it, and they spend all theyre free time whimh that they have nothing new to do.

Stupid, Stupid beauacrats  .

As much as I dislike red-tape at the highest level, I think humanity itself should be blamed. Pride & Greed being the 2 prime reasons we all can't get alone.

My rant - passive smoke. Hate it when it gets in my eyes, or I smell it or it smells my clothes, upholstery, etc Quit and save.

Save money and lives at the same time.

My rant:

I'm rather unfond of youngsters (I'm thinking highschool to Uni) who have some form of super self-rightoueness. They seriously always think they are always in teh right, and if they are wrong, its someone else's fault. What ever happend to some humility and respect? Kids need to learn to get over their own ego's and accept some responsibility.

Yea red tape exists because of stupid people complaining and suing for stupid reasons.

Yet annother rant: The "1984 live" conspiracy theroys. i mean really, London puts "talking" security cameras that can only say "Do not cross yet" or "Step away from the curb" and people say "Big Brother isn't just watching, he's barking orders, too. I'm even seeing it at my school! one day, there was a flyer advertising a big brother/big sister pizza party, the next, some guy crossed out everything exept "Big Brother" and wrote "is watching" next to it.

You seem to miss the point. With all the surveillance going on, especially in England, the main question that arises is "who is watching the people watching you?", which seems valid enough considering that it is an invasion of privacy to some degree. Furthermore, England is definitely the test bed for mass surveillance. If you don't believe it, that's fine. One day you will see how much they ALREADY know about us, and how much more they are going to know. Life today has nothing to do with the concept of our GOD GIVEN right to life, period.
Remember, there is only one who can judge me, GOD... all the others can kiss my ass for their judgment means nothing.

I have a rant for you. Paris Hilton. I had to explain today to a nice sweet old lady who she is and why she's famous. Try doing that in front of a Grandma and her kids. We have gotten to the point where being rich and spoiled is enough to make you famous. At least she could have a career as a porn star.

I do know this, just my hard-headedness shining through.   And now annother rant: Whenever I go to the movies, some people behind me won't shut up! it's like they don't notice the giant movie out there!!!

Al Gore talks about Global warming..... I am sure he flies around in his Lear Jet which puts out way more CO2 in one trip than my POS car will in a year. Liberal hippocrits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Here's one better as far as the movies go... my wife and I frequent the drive ins during the summer (the hell with those spring/fall shows... too cold at night) and it never fails to amaze me to see a minivan pull in to watch what should be a 'kids' movie... only to see the parents in the front, dazed from watching Cars, while the kids are in the back watching Spongebob on the rear DVD system... for the entire evening.
So what exactly was the point, especially when you know the parents are NOT there to see Cars (yes, my wife and I were there to see the movie as we are still kids at heart).

They're workin on it. Mayor Bloomberg and Al Gore have teamed up and announced that 80% of the smog in NYC is caused by breathing. Therefore effective june 1 breathing in public, government, or within 50 feet of a place that holds more than 10 other people is now illegal.

Surgeon General is later to announce that the 2nd leading cause of breathing problems is second hand breathing and wants to further the ordinance in NYC by adding breathing in a car with children is now considered child abuse, heavy breathing on your partner during s** is now deemed a STD transfer and therefore you can be sued.

You can legally breathe in the BS but you will be prosecuted for exhaling the BS back out.

Well I don't knnow about Lear, but I do know that the Airbus A380, The LARGEST commerical jet ever, does about 8mpg (8000mi range, 1000gal tank). Compared to the very popular Trucks and SUV's in the US, it actually beats some of them(I've seen some fords boast 7 city, 12 highway). Add the fact that you can't fit 500 - 800 people in your Explorer, and suddenly it seems much less hypocritical.

What about the rising price of EVERYTHING... where's our 'real' cost of living increase, not some measly 27 cents or dollar or whatever little tidbit the employer/government wants to throw at us?

and since they raised minimum wage these prices will go up even more even faster

my rant is the federal government keeps cutting nasa's budget

even tho for every dollar nasa spends we get back 3

The children nag and beg to watch that movie, so the parents take them and then the children don't watch it!

hehehehe yea, so the point is that gone are the days when children could sit quietly through an entire movie, they watch for five minutes and then have to start doing somthing else.

I dunno, i have seen it allot myself, seems as though children are over stimulated or somthing these days. Like a drug addict craving the next hit, children seem to be crawling out of their skin looking for the next stimulating thing to do and never finding satisfaction?

Explain this to me. How do we get back $3 for every dollar we spend?

Well there would be some from tourism and foreign scientific expeditions and investments but $3:00? have no idea?

78.67893% of statistics get made up on the spot by people with no idea! this is INFURIATING!

the actual number is much higher than 3 dollars

nasa has invented or brought about the use of nearly half of the high tech stuff we use in everyday life

such as

computers, velcor, and i can't think of the name but the gel beds

this is only the three i can think of right now

the only other branch of government that returns money is the post office

1000 gallons?!? Sorry, your facts are way off, there. More like 80,000 gallons. That's about 10 gallons per mile.
