A question for the Landsraad Senate,

The Padishah Emperor has received a request to join the empire from an individual whose character is not one from the Dune universe. While my initial thought was that this goes against my original thoughts of a themed empire, I began to consider the matter with a more long-term perspective (As is fitting of one on the Golden Path) Our situation is similar to that of the Leto II's, we are an empire that must eventually face forces far greater than our current number: the High Command, the Diplomat, the Orcas. While we have the strength of the Sadaukar, the loyal pledge of the Fremen and the cunning of the Bene Tleilax, we are still vastly outnumbered.

So I have a proposal for the Landsraad to consider. What if membership to the Imperium was broaden somewhat? What if membership was there for all to have but senator status reserved for Dune inspired characters? Would those who have joined with the desire to be part of aDune themed empire consider this acceptable? My thought is that this would allow us to preserve the core while also expanding our jihad against all enemie of the Imperium.

I hope this is an acceptable prposal which will both preserve and expand the empire. And barring objection from the Landsraad, I am granting membership to our newest Imperium warrior.

The Bene Tleilax can understand the benefit of working with the powindah to further the Imperium. If this is the wish of the Padishah Emperor, then we will abide by the decree.

The Bene Tleilax have made good on our promise to add the broken ruins of the Ars Galactica the list of nearly 1000 empires that have dared to stand against us. We have unleashed our twisted ghola Piter onto the field of battle and expect to have another 30-40 thousand points to added to the Imperium coffers soon my lord. Paradox Empire, heed the words of Master Researcher Hidar Fen Ajidica... you are next.

It would seem that the Bene Tleilax are as fanatical in the Metaverse as they were in Frank Herbert's literal works as well. I have no doubt that they intend to delivery the goods to the Paradox and the Lords.

Finally things are starting to warm up in the cold of the Metaverse. Ah the lamentation of the Ars   are music to my imperial ears.

Just talking a bit of Dune trash. We are definitely headed towards the galactic map. While I do hope that some additional folks join, I would hope that the Dune theme gets preserved. I think limiting the senate to Dune characters or such is a good idea. Also, I suggest starting a thread with the title Arrakis Imperium so it matches the empire.

Question: Since Dune (Arrakis) got trashed in Book six, why are we the Arrakis Imperium. Just curious.
