Just noticed though, the diagonal lines do not continue all the way down, was that by design?

I liked it that way, especially on the taller version. I experimented with full lines; that really looked better with colors closer to the background, but I wanted to keep the brighter gold.

Of course, I'll be the first to admit that I'm a Web developer, not a graphic designer, and that it's for the best. If anyone would like to take my raw materials and experiment further, PM me and I'll send you the Photoshop file in layers.

I'm creatived out, so for now I'll stick with version 1.1.

Yet again you have outdone yourself, now of course the question is, how can i do that?

That's just an animated gif. What I really want to create is a code-based rotator that would include two AltMeta banners between the empire banners. Sure, I could save my current AltMeta banners and include them in the animation, but then they would be outdated soon.

Obviously we can't execute code here, or I'd do it in JavaScript. There must be a way to do it in PHP. That will be my next goal. That, and annihilating another galaxy and drinking dark, dark beer from a cup made of my last enemy's skull.

Yea!!!! I finally won a Suicidal the other night. OK, it was only a tech victory, but I managed it. It was a gigantic map with uncommon stars, common planets, abundant habitable. I only had 7 planets at the end of the colony rush. Was outclassed in everything, but stayed focused on a tech win from turn 1. Managed to get one of the big guns (Humans) as an ally, and used diplomacy to keep others off my back. No one attacked. If they did, I'd have been toast.

Well done. I have not managed an MV win on suicidal so my hat is off to you....

As for the tech victory, at that level id be just as happy as you to get a win, no matter the type.

I think people are still posting games, but it seems that many players have given up on this forum altogether. I think a lot of that has to do with the prevalence of the type of post I mention here: Request: Please remove off-topic categories from recent posts list.

I agree with you as i did in that thread, it'd bloody annoying that crap like that religious and other OT clutter has forced good people away.

I think that Alex may be just on Vacation w/o Internet Access, which would be a shame. I hope that once the school year starts back up he will become a more active member and leader of the HCH once again. I am sorry once again for my own lack of participation, I am here but lie in the shadows of giants with my own scores not even hitting 25k. I am working on that but in non-meta games.

I am about to go on a possibly non-internet vacation myself, so I am probably not going to be posting much for the next week starting Friday.

I've been active. I finally got a suicidal research win in DL, upgraded my PC to 1 gig RAM, and have been playing DA ever since. That extra memory made all the difference in DA. Should have a Thalan conquest victory posted tonight.
