Where are the Minor Races?

M. Races missing in my game

Since I bought the game I never had Minor Races in a game I played, I tried both
with 'Minor Races Disabled' on and off. Is this a known thing??

I know I haven't been kind to them before, but that's not a reason to never show up in the galaxy anymore..

Ps. They do show up however sometimes as a random new faction during the game.

I generally play on large to huge maps, everything set to common and tight clusters, with 7-8 major factions...I usually get 2-4 minor races on average.

Who knows. Maybe Stardock is really run by the CIA and they're creating games to get access to our hard drives. Or maybe even something more sinister perhaps,,,,,,?


Yeah, but they could do that anyway, so who cares? Besides, seems like a fair trade to me: I get to play GCII, they get to see a bunch of saved files from gamefaqs. "Oh noes, he's gonna start a chocobo ranch! Take him out!"

But on topic, a ninth race just colonized in my game. (In my area, though. Bye bye, paranoid supergenius society! You were right, there really WERE aliens with mind control rays taking your thoughts from space! HA!)

I'd like to see a minor race that uses terrorism to get what it wants. Just a thought.

After starting a new game, you could check your debug.err file. It will show what all of the races, including minors, are researching. If there aren't any researching, there aren't any there.

I haven't had any problems with minors spawning on Large maps. My latest one had four to start with and three showing up through the course of the game. I like to protect them and bring them into my little allied Federation of me and only minors. The majors learn to quit picking on them after a while.
