Doomfest23 Doomfest23

I thought 700% enhancement tiles were rare.

I thought 700% enhancement tiles were rare.

I have 2 700% Research enhancments on my home planet and 3 throughout my other 13 planets

Also, there is a 700% industrial enhancement on another planet.

Then there are dozens of other lesser enhancements.

I have everything set to occasional too.

The strange thing is, I have had similar cercumstances on each of the 7 times I have played the game.

Is this a glitch? If it is, I like it.

Doomfest23, Paint is a program that is included with every version of Windows, and Print Screen is a key on every keyboard.

Of course you have them.

I dont think its possible to Print Screen a D3D game without reducing Hardware acceleration down to the first notch, try Fraps instead.

I have done it, so it is possible.

I don't have paint or a prnt screen/save screen/ anything

As someone else pointed out, those are standard issue for any computer. Perhaps you simply don't realize where they are. Print Screen is located next to your Scroll Lock key typically, (shown as ScrLk) and itself is abbreviated to PrtScn and mine has SysRq underneath that. It is typically in the upper right portion of your keyboard, above the home/page up/page down/end/ delete/insert area. In order to access paint, go start-programs-accessories-paint. When you open paint in this fashion, it is ready for the screen shot to be pasted and you then simply choose a place and file type to save the picture as. I would recommend changing the file type to .jpeg as that has the best compression ratio and will make the smallest sized file, which makes for easier internet posting.

there ARE 700% research bonus tiles, I've seen them for production and research, not for any of the other improvements though.

Well, since it's now established that you are a liar, I can safely guess that you are still lying and that the Precursor Library isn't in the game.

Ignuss, sorry but thats bullcrap. They are coded into the game. They have been seen where people have edited their game to include them. I have seen them in the English.str and their logo. The question is whether or not they are implemented.

You DO have print screen and you DO have paint. So make with the screenie!

I haven't seen any even 300% tiles. I have a class 17 planet. (not yet, but I'm about to capture it.) Oh and about Doomfest23. He's my little brother. Steals my name and password and goes crazy. He's a liar. I'll give you a screen of the 17 class if you want it. (will be about 2 days since my internet at home is down.)

PS: off topic, but I changed all my passwords so he won't be back. If you still have your head up your *** and don't believe ME, the real ME, then there is nothing I can do to change your mind.

If you want a 300% tile or two, just keep pressing ctrl+N to start a new game and you should get one on your home planet. I've had a 700% and a 300% bonus for production on my home planet together, once or twice.

As to class 17 planets, I've seen quite a lot of them, but I've heard people talk of class 20+ planets an awful lot, when in my entire time playing the game, I think I've seen one class 21 planet.

Good idea. I'll just start a new game over and over until I get something rare on my planet.

My best planet was a 34. On gigantic maps +20s are common

Uhh, so how is it bullcrap to think that he is lying when he is saying that they ARE implemented in the game, since that's exactly what I wrote.
Once again, your post-reading skills amaze me.

Ever so sorry Ignuss, but you seem unable to write properly. You said they didn't exist: and they do.

Perhaps that isn't what you meant. However, since that is how you phrased it, you were wrong. Again.
They don't exist in the game. They may exist in the code but with game I mean, you know, the stuff that we are actually playing.
I forgive you for your inability to grasp the simple little fact that if they aren't implemented in the game that we all are playing, then they don't exist in the game that we all like to play so much.

The game we play is the one that extracts files from the folders, right? so if it's in the files it should be in the game, and is bugged. You made an incorrect statement.
The only 700% bonus that exists is production.
is wrong.

Are you from Stardock?
No?
Then you most likely have no idea whether it is bugged or if Stardock decided not to use it in the game.
Museum of Pain! Ever heard of it? No? Take a look around in the Galciv-catalog and you will realise that it at one point was meant to be in the game. But it didn't make it, the same can be true for the Precursor Library.

Now featuring a screenshot containing an edited savegame that has been modded to use precursor libraries. SO GUESS WHAT?

They're there. Your line of argument is self defeating. Are you from Stardock? No? Well look, there's a bunch of files, and the screenshot from an edited game, all giving evidence it's there. That is it, now lets see you worm out of that then.

EDIT: This from CariElf on the forums

Ignuss, it IS implemented, just the rarest thing in the game.
Are you seriously retarded?

Yes, I know that it's in the code. Yes, I know that you can edit it into the game.

However, I'm still fairly sure that it isn't in any unmodded 1.11-games. This means either that Stardock doesn't want it in the game or it's bugged and they have ignored all former threads about it. My guess is the former.
Alright, so now I have in different words, repeated exactly what I said in my last post.
Let's see if you get it this time.

No but you are.

Can you actually not read? What I said was a direct quote from Cari in IRC. IT IS IMPLEMENTED you moron.

Ok you two, cut it out.... yes they're in the code, I have doubts about if they're implemented... both of you are saying the same thing now... they're in the code, but probably not in the game, you're just dancing around the wording of your posts...
ok so maybe they are implemented, but in such a way as that the game hardly ever makes them appear... I have doubts about how rare they're supposed to be, considering I've never seen one, it may be that it's implemented as a rare percentage that's rounded down to 0 by the game, in which case it's implemented but doesnt appear... that's just me guessing though

Ok, let me get in on this. I have played around 30 games to end or near end (when I am overwhelmingly winning or losing). I In the last 10 or so game, I am playing on the higher difficulties (masocistic most recently), and in order to even think about competing, I need an advantage. I ctrl-n until I get a precursor mine. The definitely exist, and I would say your homeworld will have one in about 1 in 30 game starts (give or take some) on average. I have NEVER seen more than one on a world. I would say using ctrl-n, I have started well over 1000 games to view the homeworld resources. I have NEVER seen a precursor library. I would say that they are NOT implemented, and if they are, they are WAY more rare than the mines, and probably on the order of 1 world in 100,000 will have one, where as the mine is something like 1 in 30 (at least on the homeworld).

Carielf has said she has looked at them before, and are implemented. I think 2 people have claimed to see them without lying/cheating. However, these forums have a few thousand people, out of well over half a million game copies sold.
Ivan, we were talking about precursor libraries (700% research) they are incredibly rare (if not extinct) I've seen precursor mines now and then too

Right, so you are calling me a moron for not being able to see into the future what you are going to edit into your post. I can take that, I guess everyone on this here planet is a moron except you then

Ignuss, I edited within about 3 minutes of the OP. What were you doing for 20 minutes? jerking off at how great you are?
